Nacho Libre was pretty damn good, I just discovered it within the last few months and I like it alot.

Moon and Better off Dead probably can't be called underrated since people generally have good opinions about them. Can't wait for the spiritual sequel to "Moon"!

Yeah Nacho Libre wasn't all that funny to me.

Of movies in the last 10 years or so, I think a movie like "Boondock Saints" is pretty underrated, even though it gained quite a bit of a cult following. Also, I really liked "Kung Fu Hustle" and I'm not sure how well received it was by critics and fans.

Nacho libre did suck. And I thought both Boondock Saints and Kung Fu Hustle were both good.

Solid choice. :tu

It's a bit of chick flick, but Return to Me with David Duchovny and Minnie Driver was great. The supporting cast was great too...with Bonnie Hunt and Jim Belushi playing Driver's hilarious married friends and Carroll O'Connor as her dad. It was O'Connor's last movie role before his death.

City of God.

It did get more of a following than most foreign films in the US, but still most people in the States either don't know or just don't care about movies where they have to read subtitles. If you haven't seen this you should give it a chance. You will not be disappointed.

It did poorly in theaters, so yes, it was a very underrated movie. Only when it was realeased on video back in the late 80s, has it developed a cult following. I still watch it and still love it.

Here is another one...

The Phantom

A superhero movie that came out before superhero movies were popular. It really deserves a reboot like the one batman got. Hopefully he will get it soon. Yes, I expected much more action and fight scenes, but still it was great movie.

That's a pretty intense movie. I have a buddy from rio and he says the movie was being nice. He says it's really bad there. He says it's funny that Americans think that Rio is all half naked chicks with thongs on, tight asses and one big party. Anyway, it's a good movie. That buddy told me to check out Bus 174 to get a better understanding of what goes on in rio.

That's not true, if you torture their savior for a few hours they'll love the subtitles and talk about how it made the movie more authentic and "real".

so because it did poorly in theatres it can be considered underrated? i dont think so. cadddyshack was another one that got poor reviews and didnt make alot in theatres, but is it considered underrated?

That one... I thought Rockwell was a great choice for Victor Mancini (perfect, really), but the film itself didn't live up to what is one of my favorite books.
