I will reserve my judgement on the Boys since it was well known that they didn't give a shit this game so who knows what we will see week 1.

As for the Texans, they look like they have improved even more from last season but my top 7 AFC teams (in no order) look like this

Colts
Chargers
Ravens
Jets
Patriots
Bengals
Steelers

I can't see them beating out 2 of those teams for the playoffs. Steelers maybe?

Sounds about right.

They could easily beat the Chargers out but some team has to make it outa the AFC West regardless.

If the Jets offense is as bad as it's looked so far in the preseason, Houston has potential to beat them out, but yeah the AFC is stacked.

Yeah, that's the thing with San Diego. You could have the 4 worst teams in the same division but 1 of them is still guaranteed for a playoff spot.

FWIW, I don't think there will be much of a dropoff from San Diego. Ryan Matthews looks pretty solid

Ryan Matthews isn't their issue, not having Marcus McNeil and Vincent Jackson are.

Hoping they treat every game like this come time for the regular season. Thought Kareem Jackson looked good, Arian Foster as well. They still have to prove that it wasn't a mirage though. Gonna be tough since we lose Cushing for the first 4. And I'm sure the Cowboys will work on those turnovers, so it should be more competitive week 3.

The one thing that seriously worries me about this team is the fact that they can't run for shit. That's been their problem all preseason and MBIII looks completely washed up. No explosiveness, no burst, nothing.

It was last night? I thought it wasn't until week 1 when Indianapolis goes down to Houston. The Texans wouldn't give a shit if they went 2-14 for the rest of eternity, as long as those 2 wins came against Indy.

the Texans played a solid 60 minutes of football Saturday evening and throttled the rival Dallas Cowboys in front of a franchise-preseason record 70,725 fans

"I think it was attitude," Winston said. "I think we really approached this game like a regular game week."

You bet it was a great fucking win! That was a great playoff atmosphere, these guys laid it all on the line and won the superbowl! I'm so fucking proud of this team.

The mayor of Houston has declared August 28 a citywide holiday from now on:elephant

tbh I didn't watch the game but the entire offense seems to be having trouble right now. I wont start to panic until the regular season obviously, but there is some concern there.

I'm not worried about our passing game at all but in order to be a superbowl contending team we have to lineup and run it down the other team's throat. We have the mauling offensive line, but when you have MBIII taking one step and then tripping over nothing along with Jason Garrett trying to be tricky with his playcalling it pretty much defeats the purpose

That offensive line isn't mauling anyone. They are the weakest part of the team.

They have played like the weakest part of the team in the preseason, but they have the capability of being the best in the league when healthy. That's not a stretch at all.

LT-Doug Free
LG-Kyle Kosier
C-Andre Gurode
RG-Leonard Davis
RT-Marc Colombo

Of course that will never happen due to our running game being too vanilla even in the regular season, along with Jason Garrett having orgasms with fancy PA's, bootlegs, and four wides on third and short. Not to mention MBIII looks like he's running blind sometimes
