I can't and won't ever watch The Cove. It's important, but I'm already a convert and that watching that horribleness would do nothing other than make me wish we had nuked the whole of Japan, rather than just Hiroshima and Nagasaki. I already hate humanity, therefore, for the sake of my own sanity, I need to avoid the things that reinforce my anger.

ugh why would I wanna see a bunch of dolphins get killed?

son the documentary doesn't glorify the brutal parts. of course they do show it at the end, but you will know its coming. I highly recommend watching it. Its one of the best documentaries I have ever seen. They will eventually stop it.

The Japs are fucked in the head when it comes to animals. They are constantly caught whaling here in Australia, and just this last year one of their ships actually crashed into, and sank, an Australia coast guard that was making an attempt to board them after witnessing them pulling whales out of the water.

I do highly recommend checking it out though. they will be showing it again in less than an hour. Like I mentioned above, the documentary doesn't focus on the killings. You will know whenever they are about to expose it. Only maybe 2 minutes of the entire film shows the killings they caught on tape. The rest is focused on their experience getting the footage and their mission to stop this foolishness.

to those of you "Scared" to watch it. Of course no one wants to see the killings, but trust me they don't focus or glorify it. you will know whenever they are about to expose it.

I already dislike the Japanese from watching Whale Wars. The "research" they say they are doing is total bullshit, just kill for meat. I saw the previews of the cove, saw them stabbing the dolphins to death, just pathetic.

Why on earth would I watch some dolphins getting killed when one of the free movie channels has a Godfather marathon going all night?

Part 3 sucks, hard, but I usually end up watching it if they're on all in a row.

it doesn't matter how many times you have seen it, the last 10 minutes is just surreal. leaves you in anger and in hope.

For those who missed it and have Netflix, it will be on the Instant Watch beginning Sept. 1. I've had it in my DVD queue forever but now that I can watch it right away, that's what I'll be doing.

For historical perspective, it was the industrialization of whaling by America in the 19th century that nearly wiped out, to within a few percent, sperm and other whales.

The Cove, "there but for the grace of 150 years, go I".
