Ron Paul has some surprising news for the Tea Party:
You’re being taken for a ride.
At least this is what many libertarians like Ron Paul believe when they see someone like Glenn Beck or Sarah Palin trying to lead the Tea Party at the “restoring honor” rally this weekend. In fact, Ron Paul believes, if you’re looking for real freedom, you should really go back to the core of the constitution and the bill of rights, which Beck and Palin do not fully endorse when you really look at their beliefs. Whether it be Palin’s support for starting more wars or Beck’s beliefs on paying the private Federal Reserve MORE interest on our money by means of a VAT tax.
Ron Paul believes in neither of the above.
Here was Ron Paul’s message to the Tea Party via The New York Times just the other day:
“As many frustrated Americans who have joined the Tea Party realize, we cannot stand against big government at home while supporting it abroad. We cannot talk about fiscal responsibility while spending trillions on occupying and bullying the rest of the world. We cannot talk about the budget deficit and spiraling domestic spending without looking at the costs of maintaining an American empire of more than 700 military bases in more than 120 foreign countries. We cannot pat ourselves on the back for cutting a few thousand dollars from a nature preserve or an inner-city swimming pool at home while turning a blind eye to a Pentagon budget that nearly equals those of the rest of the world combined.”
While the Tea Party will be out supporting Glenn Beck and Sarah Palin this weekend, you wonder how many of them will be in full support of more wars and paying more interest to a group of untouchable and unauditable private bankers otherwise known as the FED? This is precisely what Ron Paul is asking the American public to consider when looking at the Tea Party leaders and see if they really stand for what they believe in.
Ron Paul believes the Tea Party is not about “left” or “right” like a lot of political pundits make it out to be. It’s about the constitution, and limited government.

This is why Paul will not win the Republican nomination for President.

He is only in the running to educate the public and change the race.
Thats the only reason hes ever ran. He never seriously thought he would win the nomination. He knows its a rigged game. His point is we, the voters, need to press our elected officials to clean up the game.
None of which will happen. USA is...unfuckable?

Here's how tough it is to fight the MIC:
Obama's Tricky Battle with the Military-Media Complex
As ex-CIA analyst Ray McGovern noted in a recent post entitled “Obama Boxed In by Generals on Afghanistan,” the president’s policy regarding both Iraq and Afghanistan has been consistently and quite publicly undermined in the media by military leaders.
Peter Baker also noted Obama’s “tense relationship with the military” in the New York Times. Baker detailed the “uneasy balance between a president wary of endless commitment and a military worried he is not fully invested in the cause,” quoted a former Obama adviser who described the president’s relationship with the military as “troubled,” and noted that he “doesn’t have a handle on it.” Baker also quoted former Bush adviser Peter D. Feaver as saying “There’s deep uncertainty and perhaps doubt in the military about his commitment to see the wars through to a successful conclusion,” and concluded, “The next two years are far more likely to witness a Donnybrook between the Pentagon and White House, as the security situation in Afghanistan continues to deteriorate and [General David] Petraeus — now commander of U.S. and allied forces in Afghanistan, with his vaunted reputation riding on success — inevitably demands more troops.”
Recently Marine Commandant General James Conway used a news conference to attack the July 2011 date now set for Afghanistan troop withdrawal. Conway said the Obama deadline might be helping the Taliban:
“In some ways … it’s probably giving our enemy sustenance. … We think he may be saying to himself … ‘Hey, you know, we only have to hold out for so long.’”
Conway then noted that will change in the fall [of 2011] when “we’re still there hammering them like we have been.”

==========
DC is fully under control of the corps and MIC.
Ron Paul is a dreamer, has the luxury of dreaming since he has no responsibilty, no chance in hell of realizing his dreams.

Ron Paul will be in the top three, along with Romney and Tim Pawlenty. If Ron Paul gets the endorsement of Palin, he will win.

This will be a very effective message to not only the Tea Party movement, but also on the TV debates. Ron Paul is going to win the Iowa Straw Poll.

tea party is a bunch of costumed, pissed-off jerk offs that won't have any affect on legislation, even if they get somebody elected.
The naive assholes haven't realized they can't "take this country back". It ain't theirs to take back, it's beyond anybody's reach, and they wouldn't know WTF to do with it if somebody handed it to them.

"we're not libertarians. we're a bunch of republicans who subverted a bipartisan movement for fiscal responsibility and turned it into a one-sided, anti obama, finger pointing club for people embarrassed to admit what party they identify with."

The term "useful idiots" springs to mind.
I got the impression from the one rally I attended that the people there would follow anybody who told them what they wanted to hear, and not really be all that thoughtful about why.
Beck/Palin et al. do just that.

Sounds like you just described a good portion of Obama voters from 2008.
Unfortunately, many of them are slapping their foreheads today.

Anyone who ascribes themselves to one, wholesale ideology is a fool.
I have yet to find or read about a political party/religion that fully encaptures even 80% of my beliefs and convictions.
In my mind, thats kind of the way its supposed to be. Anyone who champions the virtues of one over another is either running for office under an adversarial ticket or an unimaginative moron who likes ideologies all laid out for them like a spouse putting out an outfit for their loved ones.
All picked, matched and chosen in a nice digestable format that doesnt clash too much with the company youre about to keep (work, school, dinner, church). With the added benefit of you never having to actually fucking think. Its groupthink and peer acceptance, plain and simple, right down socio-economic and educational lines.
