Turkey has a very promising generation of players coming up. Ilyasova, Asik and Erden (all three will be playing NBA ball next season) can compete with every other international team.

Greece really needs some new blood to come up, their key players are still the ones from 4-6 years ago.

Smth is wrong with them this year, and it's not because Pau isn't there. They have more than enough talent to get by without him. They get leads and then lose them, they are a bit afraid when the pressure mounts. It seems like they have believed their own hype a bit too much. And personally I was expecting more out of Rubio, I love his talent, but I thought he could have become more of a leader by this age. He still look to JC Navarro anytime the game gets tight.

If Spain beats Lebanon and Canada while Greece beats Russia and Ivory Coast, then Greece will play Spain in the first round. The winner of that game would play the USA in the quarterfinals.

What? Nothing is wrong with Spain. They play 10 times better so far than they played last year. Rubio is not even a good player. Never has been. He's barely even good enough for the Euroleague level.

It will not show us how smart they are, it will show us how pathetic they are cause they will want to lose. And I do agree that against Russia they'll lose intentonally. But then against Lithuania they'll lose for real.
If you're a real winner you don't lose intentionally just to face bad teams, it's a losers way.

If they tried to win that last game against GSW and actually won, GSW doesn't make the playoffs... By taking the night off, they told GSW that they would love to face them in the first round. That worked well.

Nothing new in that: Turks owned Greeks for almost 400 years, they still own Istanbul. KBP pretends to be cool, but if you want to know the truth, he's burning inside.

Otherwise, he's not a true Greek. I knew a lot of TRUE Greek guys, and I assure you: they hate Turks. Losing against them, it drives them crazy...
