Sounds more like that smart woman is running on some of her success she had at HP and she will beat that career politician that passed 3 bills in 18 years.

She didn't fail. Tech stocks took a beating after 2000, and again during this repression like everyone else. Afterwords, HPQ lead the way. The 5 year trend had HPQ up 50% over the S&P 500. If you look from the bottom of the tech bubble:

HPQ lead the way? You mean after she was fired at the start of 2005?
During her tenure at HP, the company's stock price fell from $52 per share to $21 per share.
The Compaq merger was a complete bust too. And she was warned not to do it.

Thank you WC. You really showed how HP led the way right after they shitcanned Fiorina in February 2005.

Policies continue for some time after a person goes away. She had to implement the spin-off of the company's technical equipment division, creating Agilent Technologies.
During her tenure at HP, the company's stock price fell from $52 per share to $21 per share.
So? All tech stocks fell like that during the tech bubble burst. The company I worked for went from >$80 a share to <$5 a share. HP did rather well compared to many tech stocks. I would suggest that people who didn't like her blamed her for actions she had no control over. How could she have stopped the tech bubble from bursting, lead by Y2K fears?
Remember, I know a thing or two about tech stocks.

No it wasn't. How do you figure, considering the other facts? Please explain.
There was a company the Fiorina wanted to buy in 2000 called EDS... You know, Ross Perot's company, but had resistance also. Funny how HP bought it after she resigned. They decided it was a good thing afterall. She must have the foresight that others lack.

The stock price jumped 7% the day the B.O.D. gave her the boot.

so since you knew the stock market so well and thought that taking on Compac was a good idea, you bought shares of HP?
Correct?

I had no opinion then. I wasn't following it specifically. I was directly involved in that sector from 1994 to 2002 though. I understand that sector better than most people. I suggest you look at the industry as a whole instead of thinking HP is unique.
I sold my LSI stocks though. Missed the peak, but sold... Hmmm... I forget. I think it was at about $72/share.
Besides, the 6.7% increase from 2/8/04 to 2/9/04 isn't unique either. It didn't continue to increase, but maintained about a +/- 5% area, before and after her resignation. Different types of news prompts different responses from different people.
Do you ever research, or just make up excuses?

Do you ever research, or just make up excuses?I researched the graph you posted, which showed HP outperforming its competition and growing strongly for almost three straight years after Fiorina got shitcanned.

I don't dabble with stocks. I now only have mutual funds in my retirement savings, which i change from time to tame. I only had LSI stock when I invested through the stock purchase program. If I were better at it, I would make money that way. Seeing the causes and effects in 20/20 hindsight in an actual workplace gives understanding, but not all seeing foresight.
Do you always ask someone to prove a radical perspective from their point that doesn't exist?

Yes, I know how volatile the are. Know how hard they are to predict. Know that a 10% swing in a day isn't uncommon.

Idiot. I never implied such a thing. I do understand how some investors thought she was the problem rather than the tech market bursting. If they only had their sights on HPQ rather than the whole industry, such investors may believe the change would raise stock prices, which becomes a self fulfilling prophesy in a supply and demand system. At least for a day.
If the change in leadership really made a diffference, why was the increase only for the day? Did you know the stock was already on the rise, a little slower? It already gained 4.1% for the prior week, with a short peak of 5.7% within that, before her resignation was announced.
Fluctuations are normal, and I would assume the announcement only increased the normal fluctuation a little. Ie, that would have been maybe 3% to 5% became the 6.7%.

All tech companies employed more people from other countries. LSI Logic started manufacturing in Malaysia, then shut down the Gresham, OR plant.
Common industry practice because of taxes and regulations.

Based on what has been posted by you so far, I don't really believe you know much about tech stocks other than they are volatile.
I also believe Fiorina was a bad CEO and was fired accordingly.

I like the idea, and could find it funny if it was more focused, but it was just too long. I didn't want to watch a movie. LOL. BTW I don't care that it was against a Dem, even against a repub, I can't see it changing my view that it was poorly executed.
The idea for the commercial, however, is good.

I thought it was a well-produced piece of political advertising, but I couldn't get over the "big spending liberal" VS "has done so little" argument.
Edit: I don't know much about either candidate, but based on this I'd vote for Carly. Carly for California!!!
