Doing so would, essentially, be bigger than the title itself. Besides, we Laker fans know we're going to win more, but 60 points a game from the Mamba? I'd rather see that.

but it's true in the grand scheme of things 1 title doesn't mean much to LA...we have so fucking many...and relevant to our times unlike Boston. however, one title in Dallas or Miami means the fucking world. It's like pussy galore after 50 yrs in the slamma...it means pride that has never really been experienced. A 30 ppg NBA finals average is quite amazing. Averaging 60 ppg Kobe would have to take nearly every shot and that would take his team out of the game. If he did that the Lakers wouldn't even be in the NBA finals.

That's nonsense. The Lakers are the winningest franchise. They have been in the most NBA Finals. Why not beat the Celtics, or at least tie them, so they can no longer claim superiority? That, to me, would be more important than 60 ppg by a player in a series.
