View Full Version : Who do the Spurs miss right now?

This would be a much more intriguing question right now if the Spurs were really struggling, but there's always room for improvement. What old Spur do you wish could lace up their sneakers to help the Spurs make a run for the title? DRob? Steve "Crazy Legs" Kerr? Maybe the Ninja should jump over the broadcast table and unretire that 32? And to really stir the drink a here, who would you cut to make room for the AARP comeback kid of your choice?

David Robinson.

I miss The Admiral. I know Nazih had a nice game last game, but he makes me so damn nervous with the ball in the post. Even more nervous when he goes to the line. I applaud when he hits one out of two at the foul line. Its almost cause for a double tequila shot.

I think The Admiral's offense and smart defensive play would be sweet right about now.

Geez, a better question would be what ex-Spur would you rather have who's still playing?

I say Antonio Daniels. :)

You miss David Robinson when he left , he took the Bible with him,

now your team is full of Sin, keep in mind the Spurs have neverrrrrrr won a ring w/o David Robinson and Neverrrrrrr will............

What are you talking about Mouse? Full of sin? Let's remember that Robinson played alongside some of the great thugs and psychos in recent NBA history. Vernon Maxwell, Rod Strickland, Rodman, and there's certainly more. The Spurs are still a great bastion of sportsmanship and classy citizens. Case in point, for all the flack Bowen is taking for being a "dirty" defender he picked up the NBA's Monthly Citizenship Award just recently (which just so happens to be named after DRob).

Glad to learn that the rodent in the fetal position snacking out on day old nachos and stale, lukewarm beer has the foresight to predict the championship fate of the San Antonio Spurs. :lmao

Guess we should all just stop watching the rest of the playoffs, Spurs fans. The Mouse has spoken.

I was wondering when someone would call for Vinny to come back. I'm just waiting for someone to say that we need AJ back and then all will break loose.

What are you talking about Mouse? Full of sin?

Before the spurs sent David Robinson packing? The Bible, and prayer was part of the Spurs , in the locker room, on the court. on the plane, on the bus, etc.... Now that the Bible is gone? they are lost and W/O faith, Peter Holts starts drinking ,and the Coyoty has to quit, face it the Spurs are not the Rose they used to be. :smokin

What confuses me Mouse is that even though the Spurs are a den of sin and the Mavs have Reverend AJ, it's the Mavs who don't have a prayer.

We don't need any prayers we have $ Mark Cuban$ and we have the Little General ,and he has Moues's Mo-Jo ....................

You don't need Mo-Jo. Your team needs to learn how to keep Stoudamire from dropping 30 dunks/game on your heads.

As far s Active Players...Stephen Jackson.

I know much has been said about him & Pop butting heads, but I really think StephJax was a big part of our success that last championship year.

I personally would've rather seen Stephen Jax start in place of Bowen. I know Bowen's a better defender, but I think Jax is a good defender and he has a much better offense and the positives heavily would outweigh the negatives.

Retired? DRob of course, but DRob of Pre 2000.

Cherokee Parks! Talk about having six fouls, two technicals and a flagrant to give... I'd love to see him hammer away at Jerome James.

Player the Spurs miss most if Walter Berry...that was a fun couple of years when he was a Spur...never wanted to play in Portland, always had some type of "injury".
