Obama Added More to National Debt in First 19 Months Than All Presidents from Washington Through Reagan Combined, Says Gov’t Data (http://cnsnews.com/news/article/72404)

At this rate, he'll overtake Bush, Clinton, and Bush...then; he'll compete with himself.

Hasn't this been spoke of some time ago?

The liberals just don't care. They think Obama has every right to destroy this nation.

What do you mean?

We have a 9.6% unemployment rate. isn't that enough?

I'd like to see it corrected for inflation. I'm near positive he'd still be number one, but I'd like a better comparison than non-inflated numbers.

he had to....or we would have gone into a severe depression......fucking retards.

Winehole23

That might not have been the worst thing. All we did was kick the eventual day of reckoning down the road. If there had been a depression bad debt would be wiped out the quicker and value restored to the currency, for anyone able to get it.

Would it have been painful?

Undoubtedly. Probably unprecedentedly.

Muddling through ( i.e, propping up bad debt, bad banks and bad marke makers) may only extend the pain and prepare us for an even bigger bust down the road. Deflation now might not be the worst enemy. Eventually, it may come unbidden, despite all our attempts to forestall it.

Yoni, just GFY.

The fabricated outrage about the false deficit alarm is part of the 40-year strategy of the wealthy to cut "entitlement" payments to poor, disabled, diseased, retired, while cutting taxes for themselves.

As you and WH have so aptly pointed out, crying racism, sexism, bigotry, Islamophobia, etc. because you disagree on a political issue, is quite lame.

The obstructionism and slandering of Magic Negro by the Repugs, duped tea baggers, VRWC is much worse than lame (as well as being racist).

The excuse of 9/11 or party loyalty to the WH is no more.

My guess is we'll see some relative token spending cuts and a tremendous amount of emphasis spent on investigating the White House for the errant commie or Moslem.
