Quarterback Tom Brady (http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/players/profile?playerId=2330) signed a four-year extension with the New England Patriots (http://espn.go.com/nfl/team/_/name/ne/new-england-patriots) that will make him the NFL's highest-paid player, a source close to the negotiations confirmed Thursday night.

Props to Robert Kraft and co. for finally changing their approach this off season. Wilfork and Brady are IMO the two most important players on the team as it stands, and they both deserved to get paid. Now one is the highest paid QB and the other is the highest paid NT.

Logan Mankins only look dumber now. Bodden, Wilfork and Brady are all players older than Mankins and they all got very fair contracts this off season, just as much money as they'd get with any other team. His agent can keep denying the rumor that he was offered a contract that would make Mankins one of the 5 highest paid guards in the NFL, but the team that just made Brady the highest paid player and Wilfork the highest paid NT would just as easily be the team willing to make Mankins one of the highest paid guards.
