CP26 started out slow gaining only short runs but he did redeem himself later in the game with some solid runs. But I agree, overall the running game is lacking and I don't know what they'll do when CP26 inevitably goes down with injury.

I thought Portis ran hard tonight despite the low average, and got better as the game progressed...and Portis is great at picking up the blitz too. The play-calling was awful at times, but Dallas one-upped them in that department tonight with that gem at the end of the half.

This was going to get bumped anyways, this board bumps threads over every cowboy loss. (see choad load or the other thread last year.)

Where was the running game? We have 3 decent running backs in this game and the coach decides not to use them. We can buy a completion when we were at their 35-20 yard line, and we can't get a decent kicker in our team. We allowed so many big plays for the receivers on Chicago. We stopped rushing the QB, when Jay Cutler has time, he can be dangerous. When he's pressured, that's when he's horrible and panics. They stopped doing that in the 3rd quarter because our DB's and LB's didn't know who they were guarding man-to-man.

X-rays at the stadium were negative, but Jenkins is scheduled to undergo an MRI on Monday.
Jenkins was down for several minutes before being helped off the field. He was taken to the locker room in a cart. The cornerback said the use of the cart was a precaution.

"I really don’t think I need it," Jenkins said of the MRI. "I walked over [to the locker] and I'm back walking good. It’s a little swelling. We bumped knees. The first thing you expect [is something serious], you're just laying there. You don’t want it to be the worse. I'm good, I can bend it and I have all my motion."

First problem the Cowboys have, they have zero running backs. They have zero running game. That coupled when Romo decides to have a shit game = loss. The defense was just putrid. I've never seen a team make Devin Hester look like a pro bowler until today.
All of this for cowboy fans has to be moot. The team won't improve until they get a skilled smart head coach. THAT won't happen while Jerry Jones is there due to, well, he thinks hes Tex fucking Schram and thinks he knows ANYTHING about football.

Julius Jones over Stephen Jackson

Felix Jones over many other stud RBs.

Go way back in time drafting guys like David lafleur.

Until the day Jerry Jones wakes the F up and gives football control to someone who knows what the F they are doing, the Cowboys will never be a serious Super Bowl champion contender.
