According to examiner.com, the San Antonio Spurs worked out former Atlanta Hawk Mario West:
Most recently, he was released from the Hawks and has worked out for the San Antonio Spurs already.
West is a 6'5", 210 lbs. guard from Georgia Tech.
The former 2007 college slam dunk champion played in 39 games for the Hawks last season and shot 57% from the field, 60% from the free-throw line and averaged 0.8 points.
He had a season and career high in points with 10 against the Cleveland Cavaliers last season. He also spent time in the NBDL with the Maine Red Claws.

Kirk Penney's stand out performances at the basketball World Champs in Turkey have been recognised by one of the NBA's benchmark teams.
The San Antonio Spurs have invited the Breakers shooting guard to trial after he averaged almost 25 points a game for the Tall Blacks earlier this month.
Penney will possibly have to compete against six others for two or three spots on the roster for the new NBA season, which starts in late October.
The 29-year old had a brief stint in the in the American championship, when the Miami Heat signed him to a 10-day contract in 2003, but he was cut after just four days.
