Can I say that Manu echoed my thoughts on why we should all be optimistic about the upcoming season without DPG laughing at me?

I'm even desperate for camp to start. This summer has been so slow, I'm aftraid someone will start another thread on Ian or Malik Hairston. It's like driving by a bad accident, you don't want to look, but...

So, I'm guessing his snout is fully healed and that egg he passed whilst here in the Valley of The Skunker is all there is?

Manu definitely looked more chipper than usual. Hopefully it is because he sees things coming together.

Perhaps, but I'd guess it's more to due with him being generally very happy at this stage of his life, with the new father experience with his twins, coming off a new and exciting off-season, and since he didn't play summer ball with the Argentine national team he's dying to get back to playing basketball.
Any idea if the Spurs will be airing any of their TC scrimmages on spurs.com this year? :hungry:

Manu likes Spurs’ potential (http://hangtime.blogs.nba.com/2010/09/23/manu-likes-spurs-potential/)
Art Garcia
The Spurs don’t make outrageous predictions or boasts. They don’t beat their chest, rile up their foes through the media or guarantee river parades. That’s just not the style for those in Silver & Black, but don’t confuse that with a lack of confidence or belief in their abilities.
San Antonio has to be considered one of the true challengers to the Lakers in the Western Conference, provided the Spurs stay healthy. That’s a big if, especially given the last few years for the Three Amigos.
Tim Duncan, Manu Ginobili and Tony Parker all took the summer off from international competition to rest their bodies and prepare for the 82-game grind. Gregg Popovich said recently that Duncan looks better than ever (http://www.usatoday.com/sports/basketball/nba/2010-09-16-4193465484_x.htm) before. From the sound of it, Ginobili and Parker are just as fit.
My main man Ben Hunt of Spurs.com caught up with Ginobili (http://www.nba.com/spurs/video/2010/09/17/100917ginobili-1417773/index.html) not long ago to talk about his summer, social media and expectations for the season ahead. No, Manu didn’t call out Kobe:
“We have a lot of potential. We got much younger. TD is thin and looking good. Tony is working out in LA mostly, but came for a couple days and played great. You can see he chiseled up and feeling good. So we’re all thrilled about the season and really can’t wait to start.”
Ginobili spent the time off helping care for his infant twin girls, working out, tweeting and Facebooking. As many of you know, @manuginobili (http://twitter.com/manuginobili) isn’t off his computer or phone for long. Though tempted to play for Argentina at the Worlds, he needed the break and his family needed the time.
As for the how the Spurs will do this season:
“We’re very optimistic and have a good chance.”
What else did you expect him to say?
