I think the Nuggets FO have to trade him before the training camp, no way do they need or want that distraction.

Plus i think Favors could be a great PF in the future

I really doubt New Jersey gives up Favors to get Carmelo unless they are sure Carmelo will re-sign with them. And if they really believe he would, they'd probably be better off to just wait until next summer to sign him outright without having to give up Favors.
