UCLA's offense sucks, but its defense is good enough to hold UT below 30, unless Mack Brown opens up their offense and stops babying Gilbert.

This will not be an easy game for Texas.

hopefully its just a matter of them trying to not reveal too much of their PB. hard to say. but when they let Gilbert go out and sling it, hes been a beast.

I don't understand why they baby someone after he showed 1000x times more courage and balls than a 4 year starter in the national championship. After that game Gilbert deserved to be handed the offense. Must be frustrating.

Watch out for the QB killin' Ruins! Texas wins this easily...42-7.

The problem with UT is they do not have a real running back and Brown doesn't seem to want to accept that fact. Fozzy, Newton and Johnson are great back-up backs or goal line backs. They can each do something well, but what they cannot do is take 25 carries a game and that is what UT needs if they really want to be a running team. Wait till next year and throw the damn ball.

I think this is the week the offense takes a semi-big step forward. 3 games under their belts, a tough W on the road in Lubbock. I feel that Gilbert starts to look comfortable running the offense. Added to that will be more from DJ Monroe and hopefully some signs of improvement with the O-line after Mack jumped all over the o line coach last week.

ucla slammed U of H last week but that was only because the cougars were down to playing their mascot at QB.

Part of Mack's "recruit 'em and don't play 'em" campaign.
