Old news. That's been goin on forever. Give Rivethead: Tales from the Assembly Line by Ben Hamper a read. It's an odd combo of horrifying and hilarious.

This is nothing new. My dad worked for GM for 43 years (although not on the assembly line) and he said you never wanted to buy a car that came off the assembly line on a Friday afternoon - because the workers got paid every Friday and they cashed their checks at lunch and then proceeded to have several beers before going back to work.

I think its safe to say every Ford I've ever owned was made on a Friday afternoon.

I have to admit...I was checking out a new 2011 F250 4X4 with the new diesel engine a few days ago and had lust in my heart....thats a NICE rig...that new motor doesn't even sound like a diesel and he's getting 20mpg when he's not pulling a trailer...

Nothing new. At least they were on their lunch hour. Shit, if you really wanted to bust on the UAW, get a camera next to the time clock. 15% of UAW workers are only physically in the building maybe 5-6 hours a week.

Do you have to hire UAW in your business?

Unions engender a sense of entitlement which engenders laziness.
