This is true. I have not seen such a bad performance at home since the dreaded Arkansas game of 2003. Piss piss poor.


But on the other hand, UT's offense has shown no cohesiveness, no go-to playmakers, the offensive linemen are slower, more unathletic and weaker than that fat fuck Billy Bob from the movie Varsity Blues, and we are witnessing the first UT season since 2003 where UT did not have a mobile, running threat QB.


Perhaps the one thing the Gilbert era will prove to horns fans is that Chris Simms was not as big of an abortion as we all thought.

The offense that you're seeing on the field is a product of lacksadaisical recruiting efforts in 2006 and 2007. They're full of JAGs (Chiles, Kirkendoll, Mitchell, etc.). You simply can't run a pro-style offense without the proper personnel. Almost everyone (besides Mack Brown and Greg Davis apparently) knew this experiment would blow up in their faces at some point during the season. Like I posted in an earlier thread, this offense is going through an identity crisis and they're an absolute mess on that side of the ball. They're in a huge predicament at the moment because they have one of two options: a.) stick with an offense that's getting you nowhere b.) implement a new philosophy that you haven't practiced since the end of last season. They have a lot of soul-searching to do. Luckily, their defense is good enough to help them keep games close if they can keep the turnovers under control. This team might be 3-3 by mid October. The Horns got punched in the mouth on Saturday and it's exactly what this entitled, undisciplined and sloppy team needed.

I think this loss was more painful for me than Rout 66. UCLA couldn't pass to save their lives and just ran a Nevada-lite attack right down UT's throat. They kept cracking all game and of course, that pitiful offense couldn't sustain a drive worth a pile of dogshit. At one time in the 3rd quarter I think UT's leading offensive threat was that zebra checking off penalty yardage.
