Had a RR burger and fries for the first time this past weekend.
Everyone I've talked to has said it's an most overrated burger joint, but it underwhelmed beyond my expectations.
What was worse is that I've never liked steak fries and I didn't start liking them here either.
Back to Longhorn Cafe.

Red Robin is ok. But, judging by their prices, they sure are proud of their food.

Their Pot Roast "burger" is awesome.
Red Robin has one overwhelming advantage over many of it's competitors: it's kid friendly, but serves hard liquor at the bar.
The last time I went to Red Robin, they completely neglected to bring out my meal. Not talking about forgot the mayo, or the fries, or something. They never fired the entire dish. And they didn't realize it until they brought out everybody else's food and we told them. So I had to sit and watch the group eat while I waited for my food, then they had to sit and wait and watch me eat while I finished.
Considering everything there is ho-hum at best, explains why that was the last time I went to Red Robin.

I am not really picky about food, but I do love the Longhorn cafe. That is a tasty burger!

whataverga for the win.
Never been. Probably would have but the one at The Rim got a horrible health inspection which I believe included either roaches or rodents, so I've never been.

I like Red Robin. It's nothing special but it's a good burger for around 8 bucks. The atmosphere of the place annoys me so I usually get a bacon cheeseburger with provolone and cheddar to go.

Red Robin is awesome. Their fry sauce is addicting. Triple cheeseburger, add some bacon, and unlimited steak fries with their fry sauce.
Hell yeah!!

This. Both of these burgers are cream-in-your-pants delicious. And I'm not a HUGE fan of steak fries, but I can't complain about an endless amount of 'em...
SAN ANTONIO - A popular burger joint was shut down after health inspectors exposed a roach infestation. News 4 WOAI Trouble Shooter Mireya Villarreal is uncovering how customer complaints brought these problems to light. Que puto! Pinche putos pendejos gordas like this place because they serve you a fucking 3 pound patty of 60/40 ground beef and equivalent of a loaf of bread. Topped with straight up govment cheese slopped on top for 6 bucks. Just because they gave you a burger the size of one of your nalgas doesn't mean its required to eat the whole fucking thing. Crappiest burger in town!

agreed
actually, these are the only two burgers ive tried from there. so i dont know what everyone else is eating that they complain so much about, but these are pretty damn good, and the only two I order because they are so good, which is strange because im usually the kind of person who likes to try a lot of different things on a menu. it has to be really damn good for me to keep reordering it. kinda like at Olive Garden, the only thing I ever order is the Seafood Portofino.

Being my first time, I had the cheddar burger. Maybe it's me, but I thought the buns were from a school cafeteria and the meat was bland. I think McD's Angus burger is as good.

I like the blue ribbon because it gives the meat really good flavor with the blue cheese crumbles. And I always get my patty done medium-rare to rare. I think that makes the flavor a lot better too.
But I will agree, in terms of the meat itself, its not as flavorful as other places that I've had, but the way they fix the burgers is what makes them good. So you are probably better off getting a burger with a lot of fixins on it, which explains why the blue ribbon and whisky river are so good.
If you like blue cheese, I would strongly recommend that you at least give it shot.
It also may be a matter of location. Maybe the one in San Antonio blows ass, because I know some people that have said they went to other Red Robins that really sucked (I wanna say one in Colorado and one in OKC), but the one in Garland is badass.
