I had a Nokia (http://www.gsmarena.com/nokia_6210-12.php) and 'twas okay. Nothing flashy but I got around with texting and making calls easily.

My ex-husband had that ... it came in a freaking briefcase.
Mine was a Sprint PCS Nokia in 1997:

It was the toughest phone ever made. I ran around with it in my jeans back pocket, dropped it dozens of times, dropped it into 6" of water, left it on my toolbox and drove off and threw it out in traffic at 35mph, etc. Literally wore the numbers off the keypad and it was still kicking when I replaced it...

I had it installed in an 8 years old Yugo. The phone was roughly three times more valuable than the car. :lol
