Not only had we beaten the L.A Lakers twice in the 2nd half of the regular season, including a 19 pt win @ Staples without T.P :stirpot: , but we finally eliminated our nemesis in the 1st round

Even though the series after this was a nightmare, I still felt proud of the Spurs. They looked like first round exits last year and a 7th seed never beated a 2nd seed ever.

Hill really broke out of his shell. McDyess was playing awesome defense on Dirk. RJ had a pulse. The Big 3 were playing well together for the first time in a while.

Plus it was nice to shut up Jason Terry and Mark Cuban.

Game 4 of this series was easily my favorite. Even though the big 3 had bad games, there is something about younger supporting cast players such as Hill and Blair making a huge impact on games that just energizes you watching the game at home and the crowd attending the game in person.

I don't think so, we matched up pretty decently with the Lakers, a lot better that against the Suns for sure. I think a Lakers/Spurs series would have ended 4-2, all tight games.

Yeah I DIDN'T THINK the Spurs had it in them either to defeat that Dallas team which went in the playoffs hot and had been revamped with the new additions! All signs pointed to another loss to Dallas and that series really scared me. I am still happy the Spurs pulled off one big series for us fans to say we are still king of Texas (If Dallas won three playoff series in a row they would say what they want and say the continue to own us, our players were not having that).

The Suns series I thought would be the same old song, but they finally hit the big shots during crunch time and did to us what we did to them for years on end.
