It’s pretty much a WoW clone except for a few things.

Graphics are way better than WoW.

Character Creation is better than WoW, it would be pretty hard to find a person that look exactly like you. Not as deep as CoH though.

Gameplay is pretty much the same as WoW. Auto attack + Special abilities.

Storyline is better than WoW and probably any MMO out there. They have what’s called the Epic Quest line, which is your adventure during all the action of the books. You won’t be in the fellowship but you will do things to help them out. You get to do stuff with the Fellowship, example at one point you go through a forest with Legolas to hunt something that is corrupting the forest. The story is also based off the books not the movies so you get to see people like Tom Bombadil who was not in the movie.

Not a ton of Classes but they are all very specific without a lot of room for overlap. Ex, Guard is tank, champ is AoE DPS, Hunter is Ranged DPS, and Minstrel is healer pretty standard for an MMO.

The game is very true to the Tolkien lore, meaning in the books there is only like 5 wizards that could do magic so there is no magic class in the game. There is not a bunch of different mounts you only get to ride horses and goats.

The game is big, but not as big as WoW.

I played for awhile as a Minstrel, and I found it pretty fun. Good community, great PvE. If you like that fantasy setting, then give it a shot... I mean, it's free. I'd still be playing if I didn't have a kid and work wasn't so f'ing busy all the time.
