I said it before and I'll say it again MJ lucky he didn't have to face Kobe in his prime or else he would have gotten shredded like so many others...
Miami fans here's the tapes a Young Kobe Going To Work on a Prime Bulls MJ:
MJ acknowledges in the second head to head match-up that playing against Kobe excites him. :toast

Lebron doesn't have these kinds of experiences...and he himself acknowledges Time and Time again Kobe's superiority over him...
So if MJ is the Grandfather, that makes Kobe The Father which in turn makes Lebron the son... and we all know the son can never be greater than the father or the grandfather...All parents want what's best for their kids and Kobe is no different in his view of his son Lebron...so when Kobe hangs up his Jersey look for his son to take over.

Swap MJ with Kobe on respective teams and Year. Bulls would have never titled, followed by Kobe, bitching and moaning about a trade.
With MJ on Lakers; Lakers would romp the league twice to three times as much with an MJ than Kobe.
When kobe is winning kobe is the reason; When Kobe is losing its not his fault. When MJ was winning or Losing he placed it on himself.

Though Stern havin' to run MJ off for a year for gambling makes the equation a smidge more delicate, eh?

hmmm...so how many titles should we take away because of his age...:lol
The nigga was still with the Bulls and winning so and quite honestly was a defensive hawk all of his yrs in CHI...Fact is he got lucky he never faced a prime Kobe...the video was nothing more than a quick glimpse into what Laker fans already knew / know...:lol namely...that MJ had it easy and never faced a player like Kobe...on the other hand Kobe faces MJ prototypes on a regular basis...:toast

and TBH MJ's experience as a champ at that age compared to Kobe at 18-19 easily negates your weak argument...

WTF Even if he wins 6 he's not in the discussion coz of Finals MVPs, Season MVPs and scoring titles!
If his lucky ass somehow manages to win 7 though, we have a debate.

Man, you're worse than KG fans arguing that he's better than Tim Duncan. Or a Shaq fan resorting to (and clinging to) the phrase "most dominant center ever" b/c they've already lost all the other titles they'd prematurely thrown on him.
On any given night I can't say who's team would win between MJ and Kobe, but a series? MJ puts the dagger in Kobe's heart just like he did every other wannabe.

I've always said Kobe is Bruce Li, Bruce Le, Dragon Lee (or any other knock-off) to Jordan's Bruce Lee. They tried to punch like Bruce, kick like Bruce, scream like Bruce and copy all of his mannerisms but at the end of the day they were all 2nd rate imitations copying what was already proven successful. At least Kobe can face the truth and admit he's a spin-off of a legend...no shame in that and he's been damn successful at it.

the thing is, NOW he admits it
for most of his career, he didn't. he even went so far as to say he didnt like michael growing up and that he liked magic instead
