Texas simply can't get out of their own way. The defense keeps two scoring drives alive for OU because of personal fouls after third down stops (Jackson Jeffcoat's personal foul was HUGE), they can't pick up Landry Jones' fumble to tie the game, Aaron Williams fumbles the punt to end the game and Texas' offense is the worst it's been in a decade or possibly since Mack Brown has arrived in Austin. All of that undisciplined, sloppy play and they still are set up with a chance to tie the game. Ugly win for OU, but a win nonetheless. Bob Stoops summed it up well in his postgame interview..."We just got lucky." All I can say for Texas is they have a bunch of potential, but that's about it. At least they went down swinging today and didn't get bitch slapped like they did last week.

its clear that there is absolutely no one who currently can step up and consistently make plays on offense to help gilbert out. i still think gilbert has potential to be a helluva QB, but his receivers get no separation, and when they do, they fucking drop the balls.

UT offense is in a rebuilding stage. the defense has some good players but is young. the team as a whole is young and needs discipline. next year UT should be back as a BCS game contender, and perhaps back in the national championship hunt for Gilberts senior year
