As it turns out, the league official who called Jeff Van Gundy to discuss Mark Cuban's allegation re Yao Ming's penchant for moving and bobbing on picks had to be none other than VP of Basketball Operations Stu Jackson, Jeff's fast friend for two decades, not exactly a non-working referee, as originally maintained. David Stern says he has no problem with such a discussion taking place, though, obviously something was lost in translation on Van Gundy's end. "Those conversations happen all the time," says the commissioner.

People are calling for Danny Ainge to blow up the entire den of delinquency and start anew, but the fact is that when measured against other clubs, the Celtics aren't even all that good at being bad. John Lucas is the worst coach in the history of the NBA, I cannot believe cheap skate Red gave the keys to the franchise to a fomer drug addict. He has no business being a coach in the NBA.
