A single bong hit sometimes before bed. I have an overactive mind, and it allows me to sleep, without pharmaceuticals.
It it takes drugs to have fun, then you aren't doing life right.
If you mask problems with drugs rather than face them, you won't get past the. this might be a leading reason for substance abuse.

Not when it makes me sleepy and anti-social. Weed affects different people differently. For me, it's the perfect sleep aide. As for wasting it? I still have some out of the $40 bag (1/8th good bud) that I bought back before summer started.

i think using drugs when you have to think about big things can be helpful. some drugs remove your ego so you can think about things without yourself getting in the way. weed not so much.
i smoke weed because it makes me feel good and makes things you usually do without weed more fun like movies and sex. thats about it. i'm even about to scale back my smoking a little bit because i'm getting a decent job that i am actually qualified for and don't want to lose it. they arent and will not drug screen me, but i know that if i smoke a gram or so every day like i'm used to, i'm just out of it, lazy, unmotivated and usually sleepy... not very conducive to doing well at work.

Either you have really built op a tolerance for it, or your getting that shitty Mexican shit, rather than good green bud. I can't imagine smoking that much. I'd be blown away all day.

I like the way it makes me think, it slows down everything, I have really bad ADD so my thoughts are all scrambled. Especially when I wake up, I'll almost always have a song stuck in my head RIGHT when I wake up (could be any random song), WHILE thinking about random stuff, it's really annoying.
Sometimes I lay in bed literally for hours, like 2 or 3 before I can finally go to sleep. I'm tired but my mind won't stfu.
I also get frustrated easily, I have a horrible habit of giving up on almost EVERYTHING, especially school work. I'm really bad at math, simple shit like algebra...The teacher will be trying to teach us something, I'll get distracted for like a minute, realize I was distracted, and when I snap back to reality I missed what the teacher was saying. I get so angry I feel like punching someone, my temper is pretty bad.
Weed fixes all of that though, I have all the patience in the world when I'm blown, I can't remember one time I got angry when I was high. I'm actually interested in what I'm being taught and I can understand it better.
after seeing some of the posters in here who admit to smoking weed, i have to say i've made a pretty good choice staying away from it.

Because it's readily available, cheap, a lot of the times free, and it's about all I got left once the heat started to catch on to MJ back in the day.
We had a good thing going ... I brought in the kids MJ got me the good pharmaceuticals (and I got to entertain the moms).

I used to occasionally smoke years ago, but it made seemingly effortless tasks damn near impossible.
Like, the stuff some people say about how getting high helps get their creative juices flowing is completely accurate. I enjoy writing often, and after getting sufficiently baked, I was flooded w/ inspiration. Unfortunately, I couldn't type worth a damn.
Or when I wanted to grab something to eat, so I drove to the McDonald's down the street, and spent almost 10 minutes trying to park, inching closer and closer to the concrete divider in between spaces.
My favorite story of driving after smoking happened to a buddy of mine. He pulled up to a stop sign and sat there for 30 mins, waiting for it to turn green.
