Yep, and notice how the Man U offense runs a whole lot smoother when it doesn't go through Berbatov

yeah hernandez and nani are better than rooney and berbatov

Nani is one creative stud for sure...

and Rooney hasn't yet emerged from his funk...

Pairing Berbatov and Hernandez hasn't really worked out... because Berbatov has too much of a 'score first' mentality, which is augmented by the fact that he likely considers Chicharito to be a 'rookie'... he has conceded better looks to Rooney than those he has afforded Hernandez when given the chance to create opportunities for both. That said, Berbatov is scoring goals at a decent clip; so until that changes Hernandez likely won't get as much playing time...

Chicharito doesn't surprise me in the least, but Torres's place on that list certainly does. Probably due to not following world soccer until essentially a year or so ago. Henry's placing is quite impressive among the ratios, given how many goals and games he's played.

I doubt he'll be able to sustain this incredible ratio... and he still needs to work on his playmaking skills... that said, this feat is quite impressive... Furthermore, Hernández hasn't had the benefit of taking any Penalty Shots, despite the fact that he's been awarded 4 over the course of the season - and it's not that Chicharito is incapable of making his own PKs but rather that Sir Alex Ferguson has opted to give them to players with higher seniority (Giggs, Rooney, etc...). On top of it all - he's managed to score 5 game winners (3 of them on the road)... 7 if you count Champions League. That is rather difficult to do and a credit to his nose for the ball, positioning and fearlessness (the "moment" doesn't faze him).

Javier Hernández should be the front runner for the EPL's Young Player of the Year award.

Andy Carroll IMO.

Andy has been in the league 4-5 years... and grew into the style that is "English Football"... Javier Hernández was grafted in just this season... He has managed to inflict his damage in limited minutes, scored several game winners... and under the demanding pressure of a big club like Man-U...

It's close between the two, I'll give you that... but those things I pointed out above separate the two players in my mind...

Pele: Hernandez can be next Messi

Brazil legend Pele has been impressed by the impact made by Manchester United's Javier Hernandez (http://soccernet.espn.go.com/player/_/id/146419/Javier-Hern%C3%A1ndez) this season and thinks the Mexican can be 'the next Lionel Messi (http://soccernet.espn.go.com/player/_/id/45843/lionel-messi?cc=5739)'.

• Aguirre: Hernandez is Torres' equal (http://soccernet.espn.go.com/news/story/_/id/916249/javier-aguirre-rates-javier-hernandez-as-fernando-torres%27-equal?cc=5739)
• Hubbard: Best signings of season (http://soccernet.espn.go.com/columns/story/_/id/915153/norman-hubbard:-the-best-signings-of-the-premier-league-season?cc=5739)
Pele has watched on as the 22-year-old has taken the Premier League by storm with 13 goals in 26 Premier League appearances for the club since his arrival in the summer. And the Brazilian has heaped praise onto the striker.
"There is no doubt that Hernandez is a promising player. He is excellent, I have seen some games of his on television and he is a fantastic footballer," Pele told a press conference. ''He could be the next Messi because he has great talent; he is a big surprise just as Hugo Sanchez was because he is another that scores a lot of goals.
"We should wait a little, because we still don't know how he will play in the Mexican team... but without doubt, he has huge potential."
However, Pele spoke in less glowing terms of the World Player of the Year, claiming that he has yet to replicate his club form for his country.
"There is a big difference between Barcelona's Messi and Argentina's Messi. When Messi plays in the Seleccion he is not the same player," he concluded.

Yeah... Javier Hernández is an excellent finishing striker... has a great feel for where he should be around the box... very opportunistic in his attacking style and thus far, highly efficient with his shot selections...

That said, Chicharito is no where near Messi's level, as far as playmaking ability is concerned...

LOL @ comparing a 22 year old the next Messi, a 23 year old.

CROFL @ Pele stating this:

However, Pele spoke in less glowing terms of the World Player of the Year, claiming that he has yet to replicate his club form for his country.

"There is a big difference between Barcelona's Messi and Argentina's Messi. When Messi plays in the Seleccion he is not the same player," he concluded.
There really isn't a big difference. Barcelona's Messi is surrounded by Barcelona's players and Argentina's Messi is surrounded by Argentina's players, that's the big difference jackass. Argentina's attacking midfielders, or lack thereof, is a big factor in the debate. Messi has to do everything for the team when he plays for Argentina.

But of course it's in your best interest, Pele, to perpetuate this popular myth :lol
