Yeah, he only had 2 less baskets made than Kobe. If you were to tell me that Rubio would only make 2 less shots than Kobe, I take that all day long.

apparent he shot too many 3 pointers when he wasn't yet fully used to NBA 3 point line. despite the poor shooting rates, dude gave a good performance overall collecting 3 assists plus one rebound which are impressive results for such a novice tbh.

I'm saying if Rubio can pretty much cancel out Kobe's shooting (his main weapon) by keeping pace and only making 2 less shots (no matter the amount) his team will win a lot of games because of that (like today).

Uh, no.

When Rubio starts averaging 44 points for FC Barcelona, then...perhaps that comparison can be made. Until then...

Even without the points, the Maravich comparison is too lofty of a territory for him. Maravich was an absolute wizard with the basketball and was a dual threat on the break. Rubio is a pass-first PG, but still young, developing and has a lot to learn.
