I believe that’s a 1992 Lincoln Mark 7…Apparently the customized door thing never caught on…:lol

I wonder why these have never caught on? Cost prohibitive, perhaps? Or something else entirely? Gonna assign my ass some more homework to figure that out lol.

Chances are because of silly lawsuits. Some stupid ass American will say the door accidentally opened while they was making a sharp turn and their kid went flying out. Its sad to say in this politically correct sue first, ask questions later society we live in many new inventions will go unused.

Cool video, but it makes me long for the Mark8 more than anything else. Those cars were/are so pimp.

Can't beat the air suspension, digital dash, 290hp Cobra engine, HID's, 2 door. They are really affordable today even in great condition. Almost pulled the trigger on a black 98' LSC. They do have problems but if you can work on your vehicle then it's not really a problem.

That's a cool getaway car for a bank robbery.

... and most likely because of safety.... I couldn't see that thing holding up well in a side crash test. It looked like a piece of sheet metal and the interior parts. You can't put steel safety beams in that door with it folding like that. I bet that thing cut straight in half and folded like an accordian when hit!
