TNLP Talks To Brent Barry (http://www.thenolookpass.com/2010/10/09/tnlp-talks-to-brent-barry/)

TNLP: Best teammate you ever played with. Tim Duncan? Gary Payton? Terry Dehere?

BB: The first guy you named. Tim Duncan, by far, was the best teammate I ever had the opportunity to lace 'em up with. Just an absolutely... amazingly consistent, perfect teammate. He just cared about team success above everything else. One of the most selfless guys you would ever know.

I'm pretty sure Fabricio Oberto, and Michael Finley have both said this as well.

I sure miss Bones too. I have reason to believe the same could be said about him too.

I lived in Seattle for a time, when he played for the Sonics. And he was absolutely beloved by both fans, media and teammates. He was especially very well-respected by the Sonics lead dog - Gary Payton. At times, Bones was the cooler, and more humorous head who could sometimes get through to the hot-headed Payton.

My only regret about Bones is that he didn't have a much longer career in a Spurs uniform.

I am sure the same applies to most of Duncans teammates.

It's mind-boggling that Brent is even related to Rick and Jon Barry..

Last I recall people here hated Brent for saying Bowen was dirty...

he also played with a list of other vaunted names during his career tbh, like t-mac and ray allen. TD is truly a great of the greats tbh.

Pretty consistent position, actually.

Player A bashes ex-team mate, receives brickbats.
Player A lauds ex-team mate, receive hearts and flowers.

This is what happens when you follow a team, not when you obsess about one player.

+1. I only know him from his time in SA, nut outside the big 3 he has always been my favorite player. Seemed to be such a smooth, cool dude.
