The first movie was... well, it was very watchable, IMO.

The second was exemplary of all that is wrong with the film industry today.

Wrong. He makes money off the 13 year old boys that get off to special effects disasters and explosions. Though it wouldn't surprise me if he's wanking in his trailer to it as well, the fact remains he's smart enough to realize exactly how to appeal to teenagers to make money.
