At this year’s New York Comic Con, Marvel Comics CEO Joe Quesada announced a partnership with ESPN to produce an extended series of promotional images featuring the game’s brightest stars and the staples of the Marvel Comics universe. There are reportedly going to be over 30 different promo images, and the first two — both released at last weekend’s Con — are promising.


The first image (displayed to your upper right) parallels Kobe Bryant’s five-ringed mitt with the Infinity Gauntlet (http://www.comicbookmovie.com/images/users/uploads/12112/82895-253-infinity-gauntlet_super.jpg), from the comic of the same name. Also pictured are LeBron James, Dwight Howard, Rajon Rondo, Kevin Durant, and a handful of Marvel types all vying for what could be Kobe’s sixth.

Well.... the only reason there's a Heat Index is because LeBron is on the team. If it was only Wade and Bosh, I doubt there would be one. And this is the same website that had a LeBron tracker with up to the minute updates on James.

You know they are pushing him hard.
