NBA Playoff Series Price - Best of 7 Games
06/05/05 305 Spurs -155 OFF OFF
19:00 ET Suns +140 OFF OFF

You have to bet $155.00 to win $100.00 if you bet on Spurs to win series.

You have to bet $130 to win a hundred on Miami

If you bet $100 on Phoenix, you will win $140 if they win it.

Unusual that the team w/o HCA is favored in WCFs.

So are you betting against the Spurs?

I bet on Spurs +2.5 in game 1 for $100 smackers.

That is the lock of the year.

Anyone want to make money bet, take that bet and run.

I do not like to bet on a series because you never know who might get hurt, especially if you have to bet more to win less like with SA.

I had Dallas at 6-1 to win the west because those were good odds, but I only bet $30, because I did not really think they could beat SA.

smart man, so even if the spurs lose you make $180 and therefore have something to be pleased about.

I hedged by other bets with that one.

To be honest I think favoring Miami over the Pistons might not last past the first game. Miami can't get past the Pistons without Shaq at his best. I don't think they will have that.

I think the Pistons would be a pretty safe bet there.

Game 1 could be a blowout for the Suns especially if Duncan's ankle is bothering his play. It wasn't a good bet with the uncertainty of duncan's health.

I'm getting really !@#$%^& tired of Duncans health being an issue every other playoffs.

New lines:

Buy Points:
20:05 ET 202 Heat(Miami) -190 -4 Under 181.5

05/24/05 301 Spurs(SanAntonio) +170 +4 Over 210

Interesting the over/under of the Seattle series was around 185-186 each game, now it is 210, that is 25 pts more....amazing.

But you know an interesting stat? The Spurs have averaged 116 pts/ game against the Suns in their 4 games with them. That is unbelievable, considering our poor boring Spurs can not excite the fans, according to Stern's boys in the league office. :)

The difference between the Spurs PPG vs Suns series,
and the Spurs PPG vs Pistons series will be dramatic.

Spurs opponents, pick your poison.

That is unfortunate, I hate the Pistons' slow down boring ass basketball...it is horrible for new fans to have to endure.

This is why I am hoping for Miami-SA in Finals.

It would be seen by 20 million more people and Manu and TP's extra exposure will be what they need to get into the ALL Star game next year.

Current odds of winning the championship:

Detroit Pistons 18-5

Miami Heat 3-1

Phoenix Suns 7-1

San Antonio Spurs 10-11

Amazing....you have to bet $110 to win $100 if you bet on SA to win it all.

Yet for Game #2, the line is Phoenix -4.

Vegas' thinking is most bettors will think Phoenix will play harder because they think SA will be satisfied with the split like Denver was.

Wrong!

SA is a veteran team, they know damn well that Phoenix is the best road team in the NBA, they can win one in SA and take HCA right back.

The Spurs will play just as hard on Tuesday...will it mean that the win? Who knows? But I promise you, Phoenix will have to play a lot better to win game 2, because SA will play just as hard.

I bet yesterday, now I wish I bet today:

05/24/05 301 Spurs(SanAntonio) +170 +4.5 Over 211.5
Buy Points:
21:10 ET 302 Suns(Phoenix) -200 -4.5 Under 211.5

05/25/05 303 Pistons(Detroit) +180 +4.5 Over 178
Buy Points:
20:10 ET 304 Heat(Miami) -220 -4.5 Under 178

Spread went up half a point. More people are betting on Phoenix than SA, hence the increase.

I was also going to bet on the OVER, but it went up 1 1/2 pts too.

Funny that Detroit and SA get the same points.

I know, and that is why the media do not like to do their games.

But this team is a horse of a different color...they are damn good, as well as exciting.

Detroit will ugly up the series, I promise you that.

I must have missed the memo where the spurs became the most entertaining team in basketball. Apparently I must have missed all the finesse and beauty of your games against Denver and Seattle:

4-down. 4-down. 4-down. Let Manu take a three. 4-down- 4-down. 4-down.

What, you scored 121 in Phoenx? You honestly think the pistons couldnt do that against a team that gives up layups? Please.

If detroit was playing Phoenix and SA was playing Miami, the game 1 scores would have been exactly the same.

I also missed the memo where bad defense became entertaining. I'll take a spectacular prince/McDyess/Ben/sheed rejection over an open layup any day of the week.

LOL. Point taken. I think that people who don't enjoy a Spurs/Pistons final have no business watching basketball period. If all you like are Suns and Mavs games, well, that ship has sailed.
