Blake Griffin seems like he'll be putting pretty good numbers this year and the Clippers might actually be a decent team. If the Clippers are actually a playoff team, that might give him extra consideration, even though it's not usually a factor for ROY. I think it's more likely that Griffin averages 10 RPG than Wall averaging 10 APG. The guy who averages a double-double or the one closest might take home ROY. I think Griffin has the edge.

I'm going Griffin because I think he's clearly the better player.

Griffin has the athleticism of McDyess and explosiveness of Amare. That boy has magical genes.

I don't see Blake Griffin staying healthy, so I'll go with John Wall.

Wall will have the ball in his hands more and he will be able to do what he wants out on the floor. Clippers actually have talent on that squad - so other players will receive multiple touches.

Blake looks amazing but after watching him play the Spurs game I'd pick Wall because Blake is probably going to be injured for at least part of the year. He jumps so high and one little bump will send him down awkwardly.

Writers will feel even sorrier for Wall than they do for Blake and give him RotY.

If Jordan was a rookie this year, none of these 2 would even be in the running.

Wall already overtook Nash, Kidd, Billups. Some pretty solid veterans at this point.

Griffin still has ways to go to overtake solid NBA bigmen.

Griffin is already better than most bigmen in the league.

I'll be watching Griffin all season.

He's become my favorite player ever since he was at OU. Kind of reminds me of an early Tim Duncan in terms of consistency (in college of course) except he has freakish athleticism. Dudes gonna be a stud.

Sounds like a good trivia question...when was the last time two #1 overall picks in consecutive years fought it out for rookie of the year? Has it ever happened?

They both are.

Griffin never played an Nba game.

That's tough, but, Wreck is correct:::only Wall is a rookie.

Though Griffin might have a better year, I think Wall will win it. John Wall IS the Washignton Wizards.
