No shit. Considering he's not a reliever.

asking a starter to be a reliever has happened before
randy johnson and curt did it when the dbacks won a title
I am sure oswalt said he could do it

I said he was overated and kermit took big offensive to it
so fair is is overrated this postseason
also do not like players telling their team they signed a contract I want out but only to these 2 or three teams
if you want out you get out or you give them 6-9 teams not 2
jackass

So don't give him a no-trade clause. Can't blame him for not wanting to go to a shithole (like Arizona). He's hardly overrated. He's been fucking amazing this year.

I said he could pick 6-9 teams not teams that had not chance at not going to the postseason
not 2
he was alright this year
but this postseason he has hardly been amazing all the time
I can not even think what the rangers were thinking about getting him over lee
would oswalt been able to pitch in new york and shut those jackasses down

Neither of them went in with a save oppurtunity. Randy entered the game in the 3rd inning. Hardly the same situation Roy had tonight. Curt entered in the 8th. Both entered with the lead. Less pressure on both. And I'm sure both did it at home. But only Randy did it the year they won the W.S.

They were thinking about getting him because Lee was a lock to New York. Don't revise history. When they pulled their heads out of their asses and offered Seattle the prospect they wanted, the deal went through and Roy went to Philly. And yes, Roy probably would have pitched well against the Yankees. Although the last time he pitched against them he gave up 8 hits and 3 runs in 5.2 innings.

They'll make him an offer he can't refuse. They always do. He's only going to get a 3 or 4 year contract and the Rangers can't afford to pay him. That's why Philly let him go (although they're fucking stupid for doing so).

why can the rangers not afford him?
if they can not why did they outbid cuban
rangers should be able to offer him a 80 million dollar contract
heck if they suck next year they can then trade him to the yankees for there prospects
ducks

I would like to know how the yankees think they can afford him with a 206 million pay roll now
there should be a HARD cap on baseball

MLB wasn't going to let Cuban own that team, even if he did win the bid. They made that perfectly clear. 80 million for 4 years? That's pretty fucking steep. If they do, they still have to pay Hamilton etc. in order to field a competitive team. Just let the Yankess have Lee and get some draft picks.
