What is the deal with Vietnam?

The vietnamese did publicly state they were outmatched militarily. Where the vietnamese did win, was in the political arena. Sadly, the US dug its own grave by letting the horrors of war get lose to people tripped out on LSD for most of their young adult lives.

Where we lost it was with the draft, and the 2 year time limit. Didn't take long for the draftee to realize that there was a firm end in sight. So, he'd hunker down, count days, and go home.

Well, we learned that lesson since. No draft, give big bonuses out, AND employ stop loss. The fine print was always there, but, now it's being enforced.
