It is what it is! 71 pts doc! I watched him compete againts everyone except Wilt who was retired and Dave gave them the business. If you didnt see the the man play enough then your opinion is skewed. Also the clippers did have a decent roster. Dominique, Mark Jackson, Ron Harper,ect..were not bad players and i dont know about you but I saw the cuts and scratches and the and ones just like you did so to think that the clippers wanted the man to score 71 pts is like you sayin "if I go to jail im gonna let the dudes take advantage of me!" Real men compete and back then you got fouled. Just because a player does not yell or beat their chest( Kevin Garnett) doesnt mean there not playin hard. Some dudes are just cool about it (Barry Sanders, Kareem, Iceman, Hakeem, Walter Payton,ect... not a lot of chest thumping there and yet when in rhythem unstopable. So to all the naysayers who think that the clippers gave the man his 71 or he cherry picked look at his season average for the era he played also look at his sorounding cast (Vinny Del Negro, Sleepy Floyd, T.C. ? ) I guess it's only ok for "flashy teams" . And oh by the way Max in Missouri Pop would let that happen, he's done it with Manu ,Tony and Tim! If your hot your hot! Gotta love you opionated, casual non students of the game! Spurs for life baby!

Wow! Robinson was double teamed and even triple teamed for almost every shot he took! I grew up watching the man play and he was just amazing! He was a force of nature to be reckon with! If he was playing today in his prime no one would be able to touch him as he would dominate at both ends of the court! It was a privilege to watch him play.

Yeah fucking great

He used up a lot of energy in order to edge Shaq for the scoring title, then scored 9 pts in game 1 vs the Jazz

Yay

Yeah, I seriously question that coaching move. But the Spurs weren't going to do much in the playoffs back then anyway. It was nice to win something.
