Salem's Lot (the 1979 version)...it's cheesy now, but I saw it on TV when I was 7 and it scared the shit outta me. Tbh I still keep my blinds down at night b/c of it.:lol

You need to watch it the night before... ya know, on Devil's Night when the film's setting takes place. I used to do the same thing...

Even though it's not a horror movie, Donnie Darko is great for getting you into the "season", so I love watching it sometime in early October
