Can't go too far back because of the limitations of the search functions and/or my inability to figure out how to go back farther.

I never personally met him, but did get the experience of being able to tell him he was wrong here on a few occasions. Even though I disagreed with him on a lot of things, I do think his presence was a good thing.

I found out yesterday that a long-time RL friend of mine passed away recently at the age of 38 as well.

Both events remind me of one of my favorite lines from any movie.

A man, contemplating his own demise, and sifting through his memories, noted that:

All those moments will be lost in time like tears in rain.

We post things here, our thoughts, and they remain, locked away as data on some server. At some unknown point in the future, that data will fade away as well, to become "tears in rain".

As I write this, because I know something of the coding, I can say that there are about 4,690,940 such thoughts.

Here then are a few of whott's. Good or bad, agree or disagree, they are the things that are left of him here.

Here is a search of all threads started by whottt

Not sure if the coding will be kept, but you can duplicate it in the advanced search function.

Here are some of the things he cared enough to start a thread about. Mostly in the politics forum. They are selected haphazardly in no particular order/rhyme or reason. (randomly HA!)

Here is the first thread he posted in 2004.

Ok Chump... (http://www.spurstalk.com/forums/showthread.php?t=106242) (one of the more interesting conversations, if not hugely important)

Probably the best of the bunch, most illustrative of the kind of guy he was:

Eh...when you're wrong you're wrong... (http://www.spurstalk.com/forums/showthread.php?t=108777)

I took the liberty of also search out some of his last posts, in a variety of forums, and just bumped them.

Here is the search for his last posts. No idea if they will work for you, but this is what was in my browser URL:
http://www.spurstalk.com/forums/search.php?searchid=2246044

All these thoughts and memories of him will be lost in time, like tears in rain, as will mine, and yours. For now though they are here and accessible.

We might not have had overly kind words for each other, but we did at least have one thing in common.
