View Full Version : Why is getting rid of the WNBA not being talked about at all?

Steve Kerr

With all this talk about cutting down the number of NBA teams to cut expenses, why the fuck isn't anyone considering getting rid of the league that pisses away money every year, is only around because it survives off excess NBA revenue, and does absolutely nothing other than accomplish political correctness?

In that case why not just let New Orleans get wiped off the map with another hurricane so America can get rid of an expense.

It's akin to Hussein Obama and the 20 million illegals he's trying to shove up our ass. They break & enter and thieve every second thereafter, but, tough shit.

Idk how that has anything to do with it, but if you wanna blame every single one of your problems on illegals, fine.

what was the last thing you contributed to society? you lost the vietnam war, and ever since you don't work, you just sit at home all day on the internet. what makes you any better or more of an asset to this country than the average illegal?

I really, really hope the WNBA disbands and stops clogging up ESPN/sports pages/anything with their worthlessness.

Really, is it any wonder NBA teams lost $400 million when they're flushing money straight down the toilet on black holes like WNBA subsidization?

I'd rather get rid of the Clippers, but it's a good idea.

Not at all. Stern is a typical stubborn kike who refuses to admit he's wrong about anything. He'd rather see the NBA go under than see his creation he acts like was such a good idea fall apart, even tho the WNBA has been an abortion since its inception.

i'm white but you're a worthless bastard. so live off your government check while you post on the internet some more. you worthless fuck you're still of age to be working and contributing to society. lazy fucks like you and a generation who feels entitled without having to work for anything is what destroyed this once great country, not any illegals.

The Dunning–Kruger effect is a cognitive bias (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cognitive_bias) in which an unskilled person makes poor decisions and reaches erroneous conclusions, but their incompetence denies them the metacognitive (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Metacognitive) ability to realize their mistakes.[1] (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dunning%E2%80%93Kruger_effect#cite_note-morris-0) The unskilled therefore suffer from illusory superiority (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Illusory_superiority), rating their own ability as above average, much higher than it actually is, while the highly skilled underrate their abilities, suffering from illusory inferiority. This leads to the situation in which less competent people rate their own ability higher than more competent people. It also explains why actual competence may weaken self-confidence: because competent individuals falsely assume that others have an equivalent understanding. "Thus, the miscalibration of the incompetent stems from an error about the self, whereas the miscalibration of the highly competent stems from an error about others."[2] (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dunning%E2%80%93Kruger_effect#cite_note-Kruger-1)
The Dunning–Kruger effect was put forward by Justin Kruger and David Dunning. Similar notions have been expressed – albeit less scientifically – for some time. Dunning and Kruger themselves quote Charles Darwin (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Charles_Darwin) ("Ignorance more frequently begets confidence than does knowledge")[3] (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dunning%E2%80%93Kruger_effect#cite_note-2) and Bertrand Russell (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bertrand_Russell) ("One of the painful things about our time is that those who feel certainty are stupid, and those with any imagination and understanding are filled with doubt and indecision."[4] (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dunning%E2%80%93Kruger_effect#cite_note-unskilledunaware-3)[5] (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dunning%E2%80%93Kruger_effect#cite_note-4)). W.B. Yeats put it concisely thus: "The best lack all conviction, while the worst / Are full of passionate intensity." The Dunning–Kruger effect is not, however, concerned narrowly with high-order cognitive skills (much less their application in the political realm during a particular era, which is what Russell was talking about.[6] (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dunning%E2%80%93Kruger_effect#cite_note-5)) Nor is it specifically limited to the observation that ignorance of a topic is conducive to overconfident assertions about it, which is what Darwin was saying.[7] (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dunning%E2%80%93Kruger_effect#cite_note-6) Indeed, Dunning et al. cite a study saying that 94% of college professors rank their work as "above average" (relative to their peers), to underscore that the highly intelligent and informed are hardly exempt.[4] (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dunning%E2%80%93Kruger_effect#cite_note-unskilledunaware-3) Rather, the effect is about paradoxical defects in perception of skill, in oneself and others, regardless of the particular skill and its intellectual demands, whether it is chess, playing golf[8] (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dunning%E2%80%93Kruger_effect#cite_note-ignoranceisbliss-7) or driving a car.[4] (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dunning%E2%80%93Kruger_effect#cite_note-unskilledunaware-3)

not sure what Taurasi makes now due to their team owner/mobster getting shot and killed this year, but I know last season she was making around $1 million in Russia .... compared to $110,000 in the U.S.
