...will be this year's Steve Kerr.

Enjoy.

Hmm, do you really think so?

Steve Kerr is the NBA's best 3 point shooter ever to me.
Brent hasn't showed what Ray Allen did against us...in fact he hasn't showed up much of the time, however.... I do remember he was a big part of that one win we had against the Suns in Arizona.

Let's hope for the best.

Barry will be key today and in this series!!! Who else thinks that Parker should outplay Nash?

Kerr had a solid history of producing in the playoffs. Barry has a solid history of not producing in the playoffs.

'Nuff said.

With the way the Suns plan on defending the Spurs, this series is tailor-made for Billion Barry. He should get plenty of open looks and I expect him to knock them down. He's going to also get some opportunities to get out and run and he should take advantage.

This is his series.

Believe.

:wow

If timvp still has hope Barry can produce . . . not all is lost.

C'mon crazy surfer . . . we need a solid production from you.

No defense.

Plenty of transition.

Open looks.

What's not to like in this series for Brent?

No way, Timvp, stick to your guns.

You've been bashing Barry for the longest, so don't say this is his series.

And I thought I was the King of Ambiguity.

I gave up on him. But he will be left wide open in this series. I predict he will have at least 3 3s game 1.

fucker just passed up a wide open lay up. Pull that fucker out and never let him back in.

He looks super glued to the ground right now. He isnt moving on offense or defense. If it wasnt too late in the season I was say he was deliberately playing to be traded.

Oh man that was an awful play. I still don't think it was pussing out though. It's just being too unselfish.

Sorry, man. Pussy to the max. WTF are you going to give it up to Bruce in that situation.

Because Barry had two defenders and Bruce had none, Bruce's defender collapsed on him and Bruce was open...I agree it was a stupid play because he could not get any closer to the basket unless he was sitting in and it's just stupid to pass it to Bowen like that...but it was just playing team ball...too unselfish though. Hubie said the same thing...sometimes you have to be selfish and if Barry has a flaw it's that he never is. You guys call that pussy...I call it being too much of a team player. Taking threes and passing up point blank layups to an open teamate when you have two defenders on you is technically the way you should play...but not when you are right fucking under the basket.

passing up that layup was some of the biggest bitch-shit I've ever seen.

boutons
05-22-2005, 03:52 PM
"team ball"?

Since when is passing up a layup, or any wide open shot as is Brent's habit, good for the team?

whottt
05-22-2005, 04:03 PM
I didn't defend it...in fact I said it was a stupid play...I just disagreed with the reasons behind it...but Bowen was open...and Barry had a second defender converging on him.

I've said this before...but if you watch Barry he always passes to a teamates the second their defender takes a step towards him...he's a smart fucking passer...but that was stupid what he did...it's like when he passes to Nazr.

But anyway...Barry did make a mistake...

So by all means whine like little bitches about it.

That was a legendary performance. This is the kind of thing Spurs fans are going to remember 20 years down the line. This was better than Bowen's ownage of Kobe in game 2 of 2003, because this game was tight the whole way. 15 in the 4th? Fuck! This is exactly why Barry was brought in.. and the sunuvabitch came in and owned this game.

Bowen OUTSCORES the hated Kobe?

NOTHING was better than that.

The Phoenix Suns make Brent Barry seem like Steve Kerr.

T Park
05-22-2005, 06:59 PM
This was as good as Kerr's 4 3s in game 6 VS Dallas.

Hard to beat the ownage of Bryant in game 2 in 03.

Not as good as Duncan's ownage of the Lakers in 03 either, but this ranks up there.

Way to represent Brent, OSU's pulling for you!

No defense by Phoenix = this series is over in 6. Brent hit the shots in the 4th when the Spurs needed it. He took over when no one else was.

This series goes 5 tops. Phoenix is trying to beat the Spurs with the same game plan they used to steamroll New Orleans, Charlotte, et al during the regular season.

Ball control, methodical offensive execution, and defense are what you go to in playoff basketball.

T Park
05-22-2005, 09:19 PM
hope your right sparky.

I think if you can win game 2, the Spurs would have a fantastic shot at sweeping.

GOTTA BRING IT BETTER IN GAME 2!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

What a fun thread to read. "Aww Brent...you ASSH..yyyEAH!!!! Another Three!!

I like the Thompsons take on the new Barry machine, that if you're Phoenix and the adjusments you make going into game two is containing Brent Barry, you're in trouble!

well first off, look at the division they played in.

Also, the game they play, is perfect for the regular season.

Outgun, outshoot, is fine for 82 games.

That's what everyone was saying after his other big game against the Suns when he hit a clutch three late in the 4th to tie it, an even clutcher three to take the lead, and the clutchest three from about five feet behind the three point line with the shot clock winding down in OT to finish the Suns off. Didn't stop people from labeling Barry a pussy and the worst player in NBA history. Since this is the playoffs I'd like to think the "fans" might actually try supporting him for a while, but I don't really expect it to last long.

Well, when a man is passing up layups after a season full of passing up wide open jumpers, I think I have a right to call him out and get pissed.

I'm happy Barry found his nutsack in the second half.
