who when their team wins a championship regard it as some kind of accomplishment that they personally achieved?

Not hating, here, really. Just an honest question. When the Spurs won, I was happy, but I didn't go all out gay like what's happening tonight.

1) only thing to be proud of in LA
2) bangwagoners just want to feel good
3) group mentality/too 'fans' coerce other fans into thinking the same way

I think it's because the city depends so much on the Lakers when it comes to sports. If the Lakers were taken away from Los Angeles, Los Angeles would be like a Seattle or Cleveland when it comes to sports. Laker fans should be thankful that their team has been good for so long.
