Google has an interesting legend of wing-nut violence that has occurred in just the last 6 months....If these incidents had been perpetuated by Muslims instead of conservative wing-nuts, the national security crowd would be calling for interment camps...meanwhile, to the M$M these are 'isolated incidents'....

McClatchy: A Concord, N.C., man was charged with describing how to make explosives, in an effort to bomb an abortion clinic, after FBI agents found instructions on the man's Facebook page and caught him in a sting, officials said Thursday.

Justin Carl Moose, 26, is a self-described "extremist, radical" and the "Christian counterpart of Osama bin Laden," according to an affidavit filed by FBI agents. Agents arrested Moose, who lives in a northwest Concord neighborhood, on Tuesday.

His arrest followed an investigation that began after Planned Parenthood alerted the FBI to a Facebook page registered to Moose, which the group said was advocating extreme violence against abortion providers.

Huffington Post: A press assistant for the National Republican Congressional Campaign tweeted the home addresses of campaign staffers for Rep. Tom Perriello (D-Va.) Tuesday night.

Andy Sere, a press hand for the NRCC who handles southern congressional races, made the highly unorthodox move after Perriello's staff called the chief of staff of his opponent, state senator Robert Hurt, a "carpetbagger". Sere responded with six separate tweets noting each staffer that Perriello himself employed from out of the district and calling on the Virginia Democrat to fire those aides or risk being labeled a hypocrite.

KFSN TV: "Upon arrival responding officers discovered that Planned Parenthood had been attacked by an unknown person with an incendiary device." said Madera Police Chief Michael Kime.

Madera Police do not have anyone in custody but a spokesperson with Planned Parenthood says she has a good idea of who it might be.

"I believe it's extremists who are, want to make a statement." said public affairs director Pasty Montgomery.

This attack comes just one week after someone targeted a local Muslim mosque across town. Investigators found a brick thrown through the window and anti-Muslim signs posted on the walls.

Closure for repairs is expected to last through the week following Labor Day weekend.

The Post-Standard Editorial BoardA disturbing pattern of anti-Islamic acts is coinciding with the debate about building an Islamic center near Ground Zero.

On Tuesday, police in Carlton in Western New York charged five teens with disrupting a religious service. The teens are accused of honking car horns and yelling obscenities outside the World Sufi Foundation Mosque. One of the teens is accused of firing a shotgun near the mosque.

A member there said a group has been showing up outside the mosque for about three weeks and harassing the congregation. Another member said the incidents rise above pranks to “an aggressive act of hatred.”

Stainbrook was heard telling the man "you're not even an American, you're al-Qaida. Go back to your country," charging paperwork said.

Fresno Bee: It was the latest in a series of incidents that the Madera County Sheriff's Department is investigating as hate crimes. On Sunday, a brick nearly smashed a window at the center on Road 26 just outside Madera. Last week, another sign left on the property read "No temple for the god of terrorism [at Ground Zero - ANB.]"

Signs left at the mosque claimed to be from a group called the "American Nationalist Brotherhood." Sheriff's officials said they hadn't heard of such an organization.

Some local Muslims worry that talk radio hosts who have repeatedly invited callers to express their anger about the controversy surrounding a proposed Islamic center near the site of the 9/11 terrorist attacks in New York City are fanning flames of intolerance -- and putting their families in danger.

Fort Worth Star Telegram: About 1 a.m. Sunday, police and firefighters responded to a call about a fire that destroyed playground equipment at the mosque, the Dar El-Eman Islamic Education Center in the XXXX block of Mansfield Road.

Schoolchildren, who are between 5 and 14, relatives, neighbors and friends raised money to buy the equipment, Principal Amalia Awaida said Wednesday.

Investigators don't yet know whether the incidents are related. The fire did about $20,000 in damage, and arson is suspected, according to a news release from the Arlington Fire Department.

Vandals also cut some copper tubing. Members said they believe the vandals thought the tubing was for natural gas, but as it turns out, the tubes were water lines.

San Francisco Chronicle: Williams, an anti-government zealot on parole for bank robbery, had hoped to "start a revolution" with the bloodshed at the ACLU and the Tides Foundation in San Francisco, authorities said.

Editor: Tides Foundation is a recent target of Glenn Beck (7/13/10) on the Fox network and right wing websites over the last year or so.

Original Story:
San Francisco Chronicle: A 45-year-old parolee, described by his mother as angry at left-wing politicians, opened fire on California Highway Patrol officers on an Oakland freeway early Sunday and was hit by return fire while wearing body armor, authorities said.

Byron Williams of Groveland (Tuolumne County) was taken to the emergency room at Highland Hospital, where he was in stable condition. Police did not describe his injuries. Two officers suffered minor cuts from flying glass.

[Editors note: I especially like the statement by the mother of a convicted felon:]
Janice Williams said she kept the guns because "eventually, I think we're going to be caught up in a revolution." But she said she had told her son many times that "he didn't have to be on the front lines."

WOKV TV May 11: Tom Francis with JFRD says the arson unit was called to the mosque on the 2300 block of St. Johns Bluff Road around 10 p.m. and immediately discovered obvious signs of foul play, though Francis stopped short of saying what was found behind the Islamic Center, saying only it was "a combustible substance that had no business being here."

WOKV TV May 12: The FBI is looking at this case as a possible hate crime, and now they're analyzing it as a possible act of domestic terrorism.
"It was a dangerous device, and had anybody been around it they could have been seriously injured or killed," says Special Agent James Casey. "We want to sort of emphasize the seriousness of the thing and not let people believe that this was just a match and a little bit of gasoline that was spread around."

Casey says surveillance video from the Islamic Center shows the arsonist carrying gasoline and the pipe bomb. When the explosive went off, parts of it were found 100 feet away on 9A.

Associated Press (AP): An armed man spotted at a North Carolina airport parking lot just after Air Force One departed Sunday told an officer he wanted to see the president and had a car equipped with police gear, including a siren and flashing lights, authorities said.

Joseph Sean McVey, 23, of Coshocton, Ohio, is charged with going armed in terror of the public, a misdemeanor, said Asheville Regional Airport Police Capt. Kevan Smith.

...

His car was equipped with clear LED law enforcement-style strobe lights in the front and rear dash, Smith said. The car also had a mounted digital camera in the front window, four large antennas on the trunk lid, and under the steering wheel was a working siren box. Smith said McVey was not in law enforcement.

When McVey got out of the car, he was listening to a handheld scanner and radio that had a remote earpiece, Smith said. Police said he was monitoring local agencies and had formulas for rifle scopes on a note in his cup holder. Police did not immediately elaborate on what the formulas might mean and Smith was not available to comment late Sunday.

TPM Media: Fitzpatrick, a retired Navy commander, is a leading member of the American Grand Jury (AGJ), which seeks to convene a grand jury of citizens to indict President Obama for treason, on the grounds that he's not a natural-born U.S. citizen. Fitzpatrick had previously tried unsuccessfully to get Pettway, an African-American, to convene a grand jury to investigate charges of voter fraud in connection with President Obama's election, according to an online account written by Carl Swensson, another AGJ leader. In response, AGJ accused Pettway of violating state laws governing the length of time that a grand jury foreman can serve -- giving Fitzpatrick the basis for his attempted citizens arrest.

... A number of people responded to Swensson's call. One was Darren Huff, a former U.S. Naval officer from Georgia who is a member of the Oath Keepers, the fast-growing group of former military and law enforcement personnel stoking fears that the federal government plans to confiscate guns and to round up American citizens and place them in concentration camps (their motto: "Not on our watch"). On the day last month that Fitzpatrick was set to face trial, Huff got in his truck -- emblazoned with the Oath Keepers logo on the side -- and drove to Monroe County with a Colt. 45 and an AK-47.

TalkingPointsMemo.com: In the wake of the passage of the health care bill, Democratic members of Congress are receiving death threats and implicit threats against their families. One of those members--pro-life Rep. Steve Driehaus (D-OH) who voted for final passage--has had to deal with more than his fair share. Last week, the anti-reform advocacy group the Committee to Rethink Reform published an ad in The Cincinnati Enquirer featuring a photo of Dreihaus with his children. (Both the Committee and the Enquirer have retracted and apologized for the ad.) Now, conservatives are planning a Sunday protest outside of his house, after a conservative blog put his address--complete with directions--on the Internet.

This follows an quote in the conservative National Review from House Minority Leader Congressman John Boehner claiming Driehaus may be a 'dead man' if he changes his vote

WPTY: The two gunmen connected to the shootings in West Memphis that left two West Memphis police officers dead Thursday, drove a van that's registered to a church in Ohio. According to records with the Ohio Department of Motor Vehicles, the plates on the gunmen’s van are registered to “House of God’s Prayer” in New Vienna, Ohio.

The church was once affiliated with Harold Ray Redfeairn, a white supremacist preacher who died in 2003. Redfeairn was a leader of the Aryan Nation. He was also convicted of trying to kill a cop in 1979. According to the Southern Poverty Law Center, which tracks hate groups across the country, Redfeairn was sentenced to four consecutive seven-year minimum terms for attempted aggravated murder, but was paroled in 1991.

These ignorant assholes are not a problem, no more than illegal immigrants are a problem.

The real terror is the financial sector and the corps, destroying lives, health, air, water, land, quality of life, retirements with their greed. They are much more sophisticated, relentless, powerful, and organized than tea bagging/militia/right-wing loser dupes.

And if body counts are your measure, then the American medical system with 10s of 1000s avoidable, accidental, incompetence deaths are World Champions.

Here's Yet Another bigger threat (to our unsustainable economy)

U.S. and E.U. grapple with crunch in rare earth supplies

China may be exploiting its stranglehold on rare earth metals, crucial in the making of everything from portable phones to wind turbines.

Officials and industry executives in Berlin and Washington warned of severe repercussions from a scarcity of the minerals with magnetic, luminescent, and other properties that go into products such as hybrid cars, solar panels, and windmills. The dominance of China, which produces 97 percent of the world's supply of rare earths, has been well-known for years, but came under the international spotlight after reports Beijing halted shipments to Japan over a territorial dispute with Tokyo last month.

Of course, US corps are so dependent on China (aka, anti-American) for their profits that the corporatocracy running Washington (and SCOTUS) will prevent any serious US govt action. Just another example of what's good the corporations profits is bad for America.

If one were to do so, it would still be longer than Darrin/Yoni/WildCobra etc would admit to.

The point of the OP would not be invalidated even so.

If it had been Muslims doing that, Fox "news" would be all over it like stink on shit, and wallow in it for months.

If these incidents had been perpetuated by Muslims instead of conservative wing-nuts, the national security crowd would be calling for interment camps

More precisely, the OP is implicitly criticizing conservatives for doing that by hoisting them with their own petard. (as an aside look up the word petard, it doesn't mean what you think it does, fascinating word that)

6 Terrorists Inspired by Fox News and Glenn Beck

# Charles Wilson: Sentenced to prison last week for repeatedly threatening to kill Sen. Patty Murray (D-Wash.). His cousin, in a letter to the court, said: “While his actions were undeniably wrong and his choices were terrible, in part they were the actions of others played out by a very gullible Charlie. He was under the spell that Glenn Beck cast, aided by the turbulent times in our economy. I don’t believe that Charlie even had the ability to actually carry out his threats.”
# Byron Williams: Arrested while driving to the HQ of the liberal non-profit group The Tides Foundation carrying numerous guns and body armor, intent on killing everyone in the office, before moving on to do the same thing at the ACLU. Williams confessed he views Beck as a “schoolteacher” who “blew my mind.” The would-be killer admitted that Beck “give[s] you every ounce of evidence you could possibly need” to commit violence. He awaits trial in jail.

# Jim David Adkisson: Killed two people and wounded six others in a shooting attack at the Tennessee Valley Unitarian Universalist Church in West Knoxville, Tenn., in 2008. Adkisson was inspired by Fox commentator Bernard Goldberg: “This was a symbolic killing,” Adkisson wrote. “Who I wanted to kill was every Democrat in the Senate and House, the 100 people in Bernard Goldberg’s book. I’d like to kill everyone in the mainstream media. But I knew these people were inaccessible to me.” Goldberg is the author of 110 People Who Are Screwing Up America (and Al Franken Is #37)
# Richard Poplawski: Charged with killing three Pittsburgh police officers who responded to a 911 call about a family dispute at his mother’s Stanton Heights home in April 2009. Polawski “loved Glenn Beck,” according to his mom.

# James W. Von Brunn: Fox itself was reportedly in danger from white supremacist Von Brunn who was arrested after opening fire at security guards, killing one, at the U.S. Holocaust Museum in Washington, D.C. One of his targets was apparently a “Fox News location.” One of Von Brunn’s pet issues was President Obama’s birth certificate, a “debate” that got plenty of air on Fox.

# Greg Lee Giusti: Arrested for threatening House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, whom Beck himself has said he would like to poison. Giusti’s mom said: “Greg frequently gets in with a group of people that have really radical ideas and that are not consistent with myself or the rest of the family, which gets him into problems … I say Fox News, or all of those that are really radical, and he, that’s where he comes from.”

bnet (http://www.bnet.com/blog/advertising-business/6-terrorists-inspired-by-fox-news-and-glenn-beck/6399?utm_source=twitterfeed&utm_medium=twitter)

Beck spends a lot of time intimating that one day the federal government’s jackbooted thugs will come for us all, at gunpoint. It’s actually the other way around: Beck’s own viewers are the gunmen who want to kill those with whom they disagree. (And note how it’s law enforcement officers and security guards who are mostly taking bullets from Fox’s viewers.)

I’m not saying Fox supports terrorists. I’m saying Fox inspires them.

"Hoist with his own petard"
If a petard were to detonate prematurely due to a faulty or short slow match, the engineer would be lifted or "hoist" by the explosion. William Shakespeare used the now proverbial phrase "hoist with his own petard" in Hamlet.
