He's going up against Hibbert I believe. Gonna be tough to get those numbers. I'll say 10/10.

I'd say 13 & 11 Rebounds. But I think he shoots less than 50% today :(
Let's hope his FT stroke has improved since last season.

Depends on how many minutes DB sees.

If he's around ~30, I see him going for 12 points and 13 rebounds. But I haven't seen him play much lately, so I don't know how much improved his offensive game is.

"Blair finished 8th among sophomores in preseason, averaging 12.6 ppg and shot just under 50% from the field in 25 minutes of action per game. Blair's ppg was second among all Spurs players behind only Tony Parker's 13.3.

Blair also excelled in rebounding, leading all NBA sophomores with 8.7 rebounds per game. Even more remarkable is the large margin he finished ahead of everyone else - the next closest player was at 6.6 per game. And Blair's rebounding totals were good for sixth overall in the entire league."

Thanks man. Just looking on nytimes during class and I found this year old article that might have been posted before, but I don't remember reading it (2 of my 3 sigs have had Blair in them, so obviously I'm a fan:hat), and it does have some info I haven't heard around here. For those who don't want to read it, some doctor said that 5% of people who tear an ACL are "copers", and since Blair is excelling at basketball with neither ACL, he is "highly unusual". Everyone already knew Blair was a trooper, but it's cool to hear a doctor reinforcing the theory here the Blair will be fine because his body has compensated over time.

http://www.nytimes.com/2009/11/13/sports/basketball/13dejuan.html?scp=6&sq=San%20Antonio%20Spurs&st=cse

And does anyone keep stats on ba? Cuz Blair might be a league leader in that too, lol. I'd like to know next summer whether or not he got better about that, per fg of course, since he'll most likely be taking more shots this year in his extended minutes.

Also, if he isn't the 2nd most minutes amongst the bigs this year (including PS), I will be super pissed. I know he'll be somewhat at fault if his defense doesn't make as big of a leap as his offense supposedly has, or his foul to minute ratio stays the same, but getting more time than Dice will be a gimme, and most likely Tiago due to him being a rookie who missed virtually all of training camp, the preseason, and who knows how many reg season games. But his main foe will be Bonner, who sadly knows the system, plays better defense, oddly reminds Pop of Horry, spreads the floor which blinds Pop to his defencies on D, and never gets minutes relative to his actual playing ability. There were numerous instances last year of Bonner being left in if he was solid, and Blair being taken out when he was red hot (which I don't believe has happened once with Bonner:bang).

P.S. Sorry hater, I know I haven't addressed the OP yet. My guess would be 10 pts, 13 rebounds, and an equal number of bs/ba.:toast

No, he's not. Except for the inevitable and inexplicably stretch where Pop plays a Blair-Simmons big combination while Hibbert is playing and Blair is forced to guard Hibbert, it will be Duncan and McDyess, for the most part, guarding Hibbert. Blair will see plenty of McRoberts/Hansbrough, also known as the worst power forward combination in the league.

I'll say Blair goes for 14 and 11.

:lol Sorry. Didn't intend to sound hostile. Should have put a smiley in there. I still predict Spurs losses just because I'm a little bit superstitious and because it gives me something to be happy about if the Spurs lose. :)

ESPN has made way too much of people predicting outcomes as though it's anything more than a wild guess. They stopped broadcasting gambling lines on games but they have every analyst locking themselves into a position before a game. When you make a prediction when you don't have a rooting interest, you watch hoping for an outcome rather than just watching it unfold. Internet message boards full of morons who say "See? I called that." acting like it makes them smart are just the icing on the cake. :)
