Not really, but Byron Scott will be. He overachieved in New Jersey and NO before his piece of shit whiny point guard turned the team against him. He'll overachieve in Cleveland once again.

Mike Brown is a defensive guru, and last night proved that the shitty offense the Cavs had for the last 5 years had everything to do with the Queen and not with Mike Brown.

That's not true buddy. CP3 had nothing to do with Scott getting fired. He was good friends with Scott and was pissed he got fired. Honestly, Scott has no one to blame but himself for getting fired. His offensive sets got stale, never made any adjustments and refused to play young players. Collison and Thornton were on the bench 10 games into the season last year.

The Hornets fucking sucked with or without Byron Scott. CP3 has proven that he's a weak-hearted bitch though. Quit on the team a number of times. Scott was just the scapegoat.

He still coached the Hornets to game 7 of the WC semi-finals. Which is easily overachieving. Same thing with Nets. Overachievers.

Cleveland up next.

Hornets had a better record once Scott got fired last season. Scott is a solid coach, but he needs a good PG to run his team like Kidd and CP3 did for him. CP3 had an MVP type season the year the Hornets made a run. Plus Peja shot over 45% from three, Chandler was a defensive presence in the paint, and West made the All-Star team. Scott was a great coach that year, but he couldn't make any adjustments on the fly.

The Nets were clearly the most talented team in the East when Scott was coaching them. That's not even debatable.

Hornets had a better record once Scott got fired last season.

1) Yeah nice sample size.

2) The team quit on him. You can blame Scott, that's fine. But CP3 is just as much to blame. Not to mention the team just wasn't very good.

3) It was clearly obvious Scott wanted to leave. . Phil was talking about retiring and B-Scott wanted a shot at his dream Lakers job.

The Nets were clearly the most talented team in the East when Scott was coaching them. That's not even debatable.

The Nets had more talent post-Byron scott and how many times did they go to the finals?

Kidd Kenyon Martin and Keith Van Horn. Yeah loads of talent :lol The Hornets had Monster Mash, All-Star version of Magloire (:lol) and a young B-diddy. Celts with Pierce, Anderson and Walker. It's arguable.

End of the day 2 straight finals appearances = overachieving. Especially when they gave the Spurs a run for their money, no denying that. The talent argument is lame. Results is what matters.

You left out Jefferson and Kerry Kittles plus a decent bench.

Anderson was never good for the Celtics. He was terrible and a shell of the player he was in New Jersey.

Mashburn was never healthy for the Hornets in the playoffs. He missed so many playoff games in 2002 and 2003.

Again, Scott was a solid coach, but Kidd and CP3 ran his teams for him. He did little coaching when it mattered. That's why he couldn't adjust to when his teams started to struggle.

Scott raised him. Doesn't mean they didn't have father/son issues.

They got along great even at the end. CP3 was angry when Scott got fired. That's a fact. His time was up and the Hornets needed to move on. He never played younger players because he couldn't coach them up which is why the Hornets kept acquiring veteran after veteran. Once Scott got removed, Collison and Thornton started to blossom. Collison was traded because he wasn't going to be as valuable as a backup so they got Ariza and dumped Posey's salary. Ariza isn't great, but he gives them a defensive presence on the perimeter and can run the floor with CP3. Collison was only going to get at the most 15-20 minutes per night.

Thanks for proving that they overachieved.

Yeah he is a solid coach. Claiming he didn't coach when it mattered is quite dumb though. The fact is he coached when it mattered and his teams went places. When he stopped giving shit (like last year) he lost the team. Can't blame him though. Who wouldn't want a shot at the Lakers job?

They got along great even at the end. CP3 was angry when Scott got fired. That's a fact.

There was a shitload of rumblings that they were sparring in practice/during games. Which makes sense considering Scott is a hardass and CP3 is a litte bitch. I'm sure they had a great interpersonal relationship though.

The original sentence was more referring to the Kidd driving him out. I wasn't implying CP3 is the sole reason Scott was gone but it was undeniably a part of it.

You're being pretty fucking naive if you think unloading Collison wasn't due to the CP3 tantrum this summer. Funny how the trade rumors vanished after Collison was dumped.

He lost the team before last season. The playoffs showed that.

Shows how delusional he was if he thought he was a candidate for the Lakers job. Everyone knows CP3 was the real coach as was Kidd in New Jersey. Scott was just along for the ride.

Of course his tantrum was the catalyst for all the moves they made this summer. Fired the GM, hired a new one, traded Collison for Ariza, revamped the bench and starting lineup. Collison had more value as a starter for another team than a backup here. That's a fact. Ariza isn't anything special, but his defense will make a big impact like it did tonight in the 4th quarter against Salmons and Maggette. Collison was only going to get 15-20 minutes on this team.

Let's see if they win another 60 games like they have been doing the last few years with Lebron. Individual players may rack up better stat totals without Lebron there, but thats normal because they will have more chances to. But it wont neccesarily equate to a winning season. I have a hard time seeing the Cavs win more than 41 games.

What are you talking about? The Cavs are an elite team. LeBron had fantastic guys around him for his 7 years in Cleveland. Mo Williams should be a perennial all-star. Antawn Jamison is one of the best all around players in the league. JJ Hickson could have a Duncan-esque career, or at the very least be an Amare-type big man.. There's no way the Cavs are a 60+ win team for 2 seasons if they don't have a ton of great players. It's not just LeBron, because it's impossible for one player to have that much of an impact...

You would have done anything to keep LBJ in Cleveland, as the rest of the city tried. Stop talking nonsense. And LMAO @ Mike Brown being a top coach AGAIN...you need to be one period before being a top coach again.
