So I'm in town for a couple of weeks, grandpa just passed away a month ago, we got things to take care of, and now I have a new 2006 Lincoln truck to drive back home, yada yada. Anyways, I was pretty excited because I get to go to the Hornets game on Saturday, just found out about the Pat Green concert after it and then we also have tickets to the Houston game on the 6th, five days before I go back home to Myrtle Beach.

But anyways, when I was here for my grandpa's cancer I was going to the Lifetime Fitness at The Rim and was seeing a personal trainer there a couple of times a week. Figured since my gym is small at home I'd take advantage of an opportunity to go to a nice one like that.

So here's the point to the story, you could've just skipped the stupid background part. :lol So I'm at the Lifetime today because I just got in town, me and my personal trainer are warming up, and all of a sudden he's like "Hey man check it out, there's Michael Finley." So I turned around and sure enough he was working out as well.

One thing I noticed, he's not as tall as I expected him to be. I'm right around the 6'4 mark and he didn't tower over me, if anything he seemed to be around 6'6, when I always thought him to be around the 6'7-6'8 mark. He might be 6'7 though and I'm just misjudging it. He was definitely a tall dude and he looked to be thin, athletic, and in just good shape. The rumor between all the personal trainers who were just as starstruck as me was that he's looking for a team right now, no surprise. What did interest me was my trainer said he's seen him in there doing a lot of Yoga lately, now maybe ya'll know more than me and that's something he's done throughout his whole career? Or maybe it's something he's just started to get him back in shape, a la Bruce Bowen.

Anyways, I doubt he'll ever get another chance to play with Spurs unless he really has worked on his athleticism a lot and has started to speed back up, but I thought it was a pretty cool story and I was pretty starstruck. :flag: Any other cool Spurs stories?

I don't know how much Finley relationship with Spurs has been hurt by his leave last year. At the end, it didn't work that well for him and he ended in the doghouse with Celtics like he was with Spurs.

When you add preseason and the first game, Simmons is 6/22 from the field. I hope Spurs will look at a replacement if this trend continue and that this replacement isn't Finley.

He's definitely black haha, no doubt about it. Like I said, it's probably best off to leave that alone for the team, but as a fan it's nice to see that he really is trying to stay in shape even when he's not playing on a team. The guy gave us a couple of solid years.

I think he's unofficially officially retired. Like Sean Elliott was is.

Didn't Sean Elliott try to come back one year though? He just didn't feel like he was in shape enough to compete.

He should do a farewell tour with Dallas. That way he could rob Cuban of just a little bit more of his cash one last time.

Pat Green will probably be wasted during the concert, and he always performs barefoot.

AFAIK, Cuban will be paying off that ten year note for 5 more years.

Is it just me, or does this sound like a country song?

Sounds like you're a little more excited about the fact you inherited a new truck under the circumstances than the fact your gonna get to go to a Spurs game..pretty sad

I didn't really inherit it, my grandma gave it to me, because it was his truck and it means a lot to me. The two Spurs game things I don't even want to talk or think about right now, because if I do so I won't be able to sleep/concentrate on ANYTHING, even gym and video games until tomorrow night. I can't facking wait.
