Props to the Spurs defense for holding this guy in check. When Marion and Bruce Bowen cancel each other out (especially during an off game by Bowen's standards), I like our chances.

3 points :lmao
How many good games has Marion ever had against Bowen?
The Brent Barry/Emanuel Ginobili OT game on January 21st this year is about the only one I can think of.

to give marion some credit....his wrist is fucked
sounds like a personal problem to me.
Sounds like a copout.
Duncan didnt seem to show ill effects of the ankles today to me.
Just under 50% shooting.

The Spurs respected his game, and he wasn't able to hurt them, but he still played pretty well. Marion was aggressive with his shots and penetrations when they were there, which resulted in some putbacks. He played good defense and hustled the whole game, and got 9 rebounds, which isn't bad against Tim Duncan. I think Pop was right. The only thing that "held Marion back" was the fact that there's only one basketball. You still have to respect him and respect his game. If the Spurs forget about him they'll get burned in game 2.
We won, and that's all that matters..

No kidding, especially since our offense doesn't depend on Bowen as much as their's does on Marion. Props to the team and Bowen for great defensive work.
