Hey Guys,
Went to shoot around today to get a one-on-one with James Anderson and got lucky to catch the announcement of Parker signing an extension. Here's a tidbit from my article on the deal with quotes from Pop and Tony:
"He's a very dedicated player and he will improve even more because he works at it," stated Coach Popovich. "It's very important to him to continue to try to be the best player he can be. He worked hard all summer in that regard and he'll continue to do so. I just don't' know what else to say about him. It's expressed in the extension that we gave him, that's how we feel about him.
"We're excited about it. He's been a big part of what we're doing around here for a lot of years. To have him in the fold for this long is fantastic for us and hopefully for him too."
"Pop always told me we were going to discuss an extension," revealed Parker. "My situation was different from Manu's because he was hurt. It was a little bit different but at the end of the day me and Manu will be here and that's one of the most important things."

I thought all along that the deal would get done, just felt he was too important of a piece to even risk losing. Surprised that they got him for such a nice deal, if the $12.5 million annually figure is correct. Great deal in my opinion for one of the league's best point guards.
Fantastic day to be a Spurs fan, this was important for the present but huge for the future!
