Introducing: The San Antonio Dispatch

Over the summer, we were approached by investors to help create a next-generation newspaper for the city of San Antonio. After a lot of work behind the scenes, SanAntonioDispatch.com (http://www.sanantoniodispatch.com/) has been born. Currently, it's in its infancy and is just a shell of what it will become, however we wanted to give the SpursTalk community an early look.

A team of writers is currently being put together. An exciting aspect about SanAntonioDispatch.com is that it will integrate with SpursTalk. SpursTalk members will have the opportunity to contribute and a portion of the ad revenue will go back to the SpursTalk contributors. Additionally, a percentage of the ad revenue will be donated to The Carver Academy (http://www.thecarveracademy.com/).

If you are interested in being a writer for the San Antonio Dispatch or otherwise contributing, please stay tuned. We'll be explaining more over the next day or so :tu

I like it so far. I haven't scoured through it yet but I noticed one thing that you may or may not want to look at. When you click on the"Message Board" link it redirects you to Spurstalk.com. Essentially taking the user/reader away from www.sanantoniodispatch.com. I know that you guys want to integrate spurstalk.com with www.sanantoniodispatch.com but I don't think you would want your readers to be taken away from www.sanantoniodispatch.com completely. Maybe the link can open another tab with Spurstalk.com without navigating away from www.sanantoniodispatch.com. Just a thought. I'm in IT but not in web design so I maybe way off with my thoughts here. Either I'll be reading! :toast

I used to be contributing "The Week Ahead" previews to SA Dispatch and last I heard, they are looking to relaunch the site. I believe timvp is in talks with investors on how to improve the page and what not.
