2-0 is possible... if we get 2-0 i don't see us leaving SBC center with anything less than a 3-1 lead.

The Force is strong with us there.

fuck yeah. The Spurs were pretty lackadaisical today, not that the Suns' game demanded much else.

If the Spurs bear down on the Suns as the Suns try to bounce back, it's 2-0.

I think TP is the key in this serie, because of the Suns' style...
I was surprised because SA could run and WIN.

Of course 2-0 is possible but the suns are going to look at it like it's an elimination game and in reality it is. So if the Spurs want it they are going to have to bring their A game.

If Parker plays like he played today, not only is it posible, its a done fucking deal!

The defense still needs to improve, so Yes 2-0 is possible. The suns only had 6 fast break points, so Defensively-wise, they were not very good today.

It's going to come down to outside shooting.

I guarantee the Suns coaching staff is going to play game 2 for the most part the same way, and say "you beat us once with Barry, let's see if he can do it again."

I expect more doubles on Tim, coming from different places, and I think they'll be running some plays to get Matrix going too.

yeah but we dont have much of an outside shot despite barrys' excellent 4th qtr play.......so basically after gm 2 it'll be 1-1 :spin

i think if they do that, you swing it around and get penetration from Parker and Ginobili.

They cannot STAY in front of people for crap.

If we go up 2-0, Suns are in BIG trouble!! No way SA loses enough home games for PHX to come back. But they Spurs cant play for a split, otherwise they will get a split. They gotta bring it like its a 3-3 series!

Aggie Hoopsfan

I still say if you want to make this quick you take Tony with Nash guarding him and beat the hell out of Nash with the pick and roll.

He'll either be getting into foul trouble or watching the Spurs run a layup drill.

I think getting Amare into foul trouble is easier, and would be better. Hunter cant stop Tim!

The question is ... is 2-0 possible without Brent's 3??
Why dont try to slow down Nash? I think Steve could improve any human being next to him.

I just don't see the Spurs coming home 2-0.

We all know if they do, it's a done deal.

But the Suns were one 8-0 run away from winning, and they should respond in game 2.

i still think phoenix will win games 2 and 5 with the final outcome being spurs in 6.

i don't expect them to play so poorly again.

The Spurs have a lot to improve on in their defense. Letting the Suns score 114 points is making the Mavs defense look pretty good.

I would guess though that the Spurs will adopt the same strategy. Keep it close in the first 3 quarters and hound Nash in the 4th.

Ditto. The Suns can and will play on the road and by gm3(sat.) JoJo will be back. Even if he come back at half the player he was the Suns might just steal one down there.

You have to give them the benefit of the doubt.Phoenix will not change their plan.Spurs will not be shooting like this every night.

Spurs in SIX

Yes, but it probably won't happen.

Phoenix will be extremely motivated on Tuesday, and we will come out sluggish like we usually do when we have the advantage in a series

Actually numbnuts if you can get your head out of the third grade, I only missed my round two predictions by just a few games. So why don't you actually "think" before you type ok?

Winning two games in Phoenix is somewhere between highly improbable to unlikely. The Spurs aren't playing a flavor-of-the-week like Denver or a paper tiger like Seattle. Phoenix has (according to the all-NBA teams) three of the best fifteen players in the league. They'll first pissed about the lack of national respect they're being given and second the fact that they gave away home court tonight.

I think that Phoenix would rather have lost another starter than home court in this series. Beating Dallas and Memphis isn't shit if they can't beat SA at home, and yes, I know the Suns have the best road record in the game this season. In a 2-2-1-1-1 series, a home team losing game one is destined to be playing catchup from the get-go. Remember how after losing Game One to Denver, how many people thought the Spurs were finished?

2-0 is possible and I want it to be a done deal but we shouldn't get too far ahead of ourselves. Yes we won but I'm more inclined to think we survived this game. Marion had beyond what we would call an off game, Joe Johnson was out (his presence pushes Jim Jackson back to the bench to shore up the Sun's bench), Q-Rich was a non-factor, and the Spurs explode for 43 points in the fourth, led by a complete resurrection of Barry and a very high shooting percentage. A lot of things lined up just right to create this initial victory and our best chance at 2-0 is for the idea that we stole the first game to get too deep into their heads and affect the Suns play. They are young guys with playoff inexperience so their aggressiveness may wind up working against them. Yes we won. Yes it was a great game but I think we were also lucky. But sometimes, you catch a lucky break and you can take maximum advantage of it and I think the Spurs should be able to do so. (And before I am completely set ablaze by my fellow Spurs fans, I'm not saying the Spurs victory was complete luck because the Spurs have most definely shown the ability to beat this team, but what I'm try to say is that it was fortunate this series of events contributed to our victory).
