Don't worry, they're aren't good enough. Yet.
That dropped pick 6 and Stafford underthrowing that ball by a yard or two hurt.
How you like Suh?
MannyIsGod

Suh owes McNabb dinner as much as he's been riding him. The pick 6 was a 13 point swing. Pretty nasty drop.

I'm really disappointed in Brown. Can't believe he can't beat out Hayer for the job.

Haynesworth on the other hand is starting to become what we've wanted all along. Perhaps Mike Shananahan really did know how to tame him. Pretty amazing if this turn out.

It makes absolutely no fucking sense. Yeah - he threw the pick but for the most part when you don't give the guy time its going to fuck him up. He made plays with his feet and the few times he had time he hit targets deep.
NO fucking clue what this is all about.

Look, Haynesworth looks motivated as hell now so maybe Shanahan knows what he's doing but he basically mailed the game in by putting in Grossman and it wasn't McNabb's fucking fault that his line can't block a damn thing.
I just don't see WHY this needed to be done. Hopefully they squash this quick and it doesn't become a distraction. 4-4 in the NFC is well in the playoff race and I hope they don't start blowing this season up.

Suh, how you like me now?
Terrible offensive game plan by the Skins. The Lions have arguably the worst LB core in the league. Where in the hell was Cooley and Davis in the short zones?
Stafford played well after shaking the rust off. That CJ guy is okay, too.
I kept thinking they were setting up Landry when he kept blowing up that smoke screen. Laron has really picked up his game this year.

MannyIsGod
10-31-2010, 03:55 PM
Maybe because he's had enough of McNabb blowing ass the past 8 weeks.
Yeah - Rex Grossman did a fine job. McNabb is going to suck if you give him 2 seconds before a defensive tackle is tickling his ear with his tongue yet again.
hitmanyr2k
10-31-2010, 03:56 PM
Maybe because he's had enough of McNabb blowing ass the past 8 weeks.
You can throw any QB back there and it won't matter. When the pocket is collapsing 75% of the time your offensive line has major problems that need to be addressed and they haven't really done anything about it. They always put a band-aid on the situation by putting McNabb on the move with bootlegs and shit but teams catch on to that real quick. Rex Grossman's first damn snap he's surrounded by blue shirts within 2 seconds :lol McNabb was probably on the sideline thinking now you see what I've had to deal with.
ShoogarBear
10-31-2010, 03:58 PM
Talking heads ripping on Shanahan. One said that it's a problem when your son is the OC.
MannyIsGod
10-31-2010, 04:01 PM
I don't see how that is the problem but this call was terrible. Just terrible. I guess we'll find out just over the next two weeks how much the Redskins have changed if much at all.
MannyIsGod
10-31-2010, 04:03 PM
Umm, thats complete bullshit.
I've been to 3 Redskins games this season already and McNabb is blowing. He misses wide open receivers down field ALL THE TIME, and takes forever to go through his reads.
The last game I went to (GB) he missed Moss/Armstrong/Cooley on so many plays. Moss got so pissed off he took off his helmet and threw it down on the sidelines and McNabb misses him completely in the middle of the field.
McNabb is sucking this season.
:lmao
Yeah, having to constantly worry about being sacked right off the bat has no bearing on timing or QB effectiveness in general. Also, I'm not sure which McNabb you've watched over the past 10 years but he misses recievers at times. Not unexpected.
He's doing horrible because he's on his back within 5 seconds over half the time.
DisgruntledLionFan#54,927
10-31-2010, 04:03 PM
You don't change QBs in the final 2 minutes needing a TD to win.
Especially when the #2 is Rexy.
MannyIsGod
10-31-2010, 04:07 PM
Exactly.
I think the coaches were really pissed about that interception, but the fact of the matter is the Skins aren't in this game without McNabb's bombs to Armstrong - his 40 yard run in the 2nd and the quick drive he led for the FG before the half.
MannyIsGod
10-31-2010, 04:08 PM
Umm thats bullshit again. Maybe this game he had no time. But the 3 games I have been to his hot reads have been WIDE THE FUCK OPEN when he gets blitzed and he never goes to them.
On top of that, he takes way too fucking long to let go off the ball. 90% of the time he had players open within 2-4 seconds and wouldn't let it go.
Yes, he misses receivers, but this time its like x100
The line has sucked all year. Your as bad at this as you are as posting pictures from Dolphins/Steelers games.

Keep slurping McNabb, you will be hard to find many Redskins fans that want McNabb still in.
Has McNabb been spectacular? No. But with the shittiness of the offensive line and, until the last couple of weeks, the absence of a running game nobody else would have done much better.
If you asked any intelligent Skins fan what the problem is and what needs to be fixed first, not one of them would say the QB.
Oh, and I am in DC.

:lol You think you're going to find a lot of Redskin fans that want Rex Grossman in? loooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooool
MannyIsGod
10-31-2010, 04:35 PM
I didnt say its the primary reason. The line blows first and foremost. But to take away blame from McNabb is retarded. McNabb has blown this season. With the amount of times he has wide open players, they should be 5-2. Shahanananananan is doing a good job calling plays on offense.
They should be 5-2?
:lol
ShoogarBear
10-31-2010, 04:36 PM
A) As Manny already pointed out, McNabb has always missed receivers on occasion. It's part of the package. He's also with a brand new OC and set of receivers. Timing doesn't happen in one year.
B) You don't think worrying about getting crushed on every single play might have something to do with it? So obviously what the Skins need to do is find one of those QBs who excels with a shitty offense line.
MannyIsGod
10-31-2010, 04:41 PM
I would understand if we had a good backup. Or if we had a running game we could lean on. Right now the skins offense lives and dies with McNabb making a play happen a good deal of the time. The run in the 2nd quarter was an example of that.
Putting in Rex Grossman and expecting him to make as many or more plays happen than McNabb is some amazingly stupid thinking and if you find me a Skins fan who believes that then you've found me a stupid fucking fan.
samikeyp
11-01-2010, 07:36 AM

Shanahan has gone off his rocker.
Today he claims that he didn't play McNabb because he's had a sore hamstring and so he couldn't handle the two-minute drill from a "cardiovascular standpoint".
He also said that the plan all week has been to play Grossman during the two-minute drills.
Either: a) Shanahan is so arrogant he thinks he can just say any shit that comes to mind and people will have to believe it, or b) the curse of Camp Snyder has gotten to him.

Corners who get interceptions aren't always good corners. Smith has made some big picks this year though. He's not a particularly good cover or tackler. But he'll make some big plays now and then.
